he got ressurected?? where the bloody hell was i then, take note, in EOE, when Shinji sees Kaouru, its not exactly Kaouru, since Shinji's ego barrier is breaking down, he could be hallucinating, shit, if stuff like that happened to me, id see stuff more fucked up then normal (pink, pink they were, and they grew out of the walls......)then again i could be wrong (rei-kaouru is also symbolic, lilith was supposed to be the perfect creature, both male and female) Who know why i added that........Pierrot Le Fou wrote:Kaouru could also be considered a Christ figure if you wanna go that far.
I mean he came from heaven, said a bunch of nice stuff and was
murdered in order to bring about a massive shift in the cosmos. And he
got ressurected too. ;D

This is rumor control. Here are the facts:
:teach:
1) There is nothing in the series or movies to suggest why Rei and Kaworu have unusual eye and hair colorations. However, albinos do not have blue hair, and their eyes are pink, not red.
2) There is nothing in the series or movies to suggest that Rei is in any way related to Yui, except that they have similar haircuts. Shinji says that something about Rei reminds him of his mother, but then again, in Episode 7 he says that Misato looks a lot like Ritsuko, and we're pretty sure that Misato isn't a clone of Ritsuko.
3) There is nothing in the series, and almost nothing in the movies, to suggest that Rei is in any way related to Lillith.
4) There is nothing in the series or movies to suggest Kaworu is in any way related to Adam.
5) Rei is 14 years old. Yui died in 2004, when Rei was 3 years old. biznitches!
6) Yui, to the best of everyone's knowledge, could not regenerate lost limbs or float off the ground.
7) Anno himself has said that Kaworu is not gay. He just talked like a queer and held Shinji's hand in the shower and told Shinji he loved him, and everyone jumped to conclusions .

Yes. Kaworu is the 16th (or was it 17th) Angel and Adam was the 2nd...they're not really related other than both being angelsthe Black Monarch wrote: 4) There is nothing in the series or movies to suggest Kaworu is in any way related to Adam.
No. Rei was introduced AFTER Yui died. That's explicitely in the show.the Black Monarch wrote:5) Rei is 14 years old. Yui died in 2004, when Rei was 3 years old. biznitches!

Yes rei was introduced afterwards, but she could have been some subsection of the instrumentality project (combination of Yui and Lilith). Rei is related to lilith, this is shown in EOE, when rei and lilith 'join' the words 'Welcome Home' appear, this to me indicates lilith has got back something she lost, rei is back where she belongs etc etc........
No , Yui couldnt regenerate lost limb, but then again, she was human, rei wasnt.........

Rei-II gave the appearance of being 14, but her actual age is uncertain due to her cloned nature. The one at the beginning of the series, Rei-I, is also of uncertain age. Rei-III also appeared to be 14 when she was only a few days old. Although Yui and Rei might have coexisted, there's no real way to tell in terms of chronology. I believe that, as Gendo created Rei as a 'substitute' for Yui's place in his heart (and took Ritsuko's mother as a replacement for the physical side of things), and more importantly as a method to get back to Yui (as stated in EoE), he would not have created her until after Yui was gone.
