Sanzo and Goku from Saiyuki!!! Yeah baby!! XD
I don't mind them whichever way up. XD
Heh, I don't have any vids for Sanzo/Goku, but you might want to check out Akui_shienjeru's Saiyuki vid, 'All You Want'

I got it for the Gojyo/Hakkai, but it also features Sanzo/Goku (more of them than the other pairing, actually >.< ). I'm sure you'd like it. ^_^

Yaoi

Post by ryuu_hime13 » Wed Nov 05, 2003 3:20 pm

I don't have any real problems with series that are SUPPOSED to contain yaoi or shounen ai...I think it's kinda cute...I'm a big fan or Yami no Matsuei and Tokyo Babylon. Fave pairing's gotta be Tsuzuki/Hisoka. But I don't really like when people take "innocent" series (this is a VERY loose term) and make yaoi pairings. It just seems a little strange. If it isn't there, why pretend it is? Otherwise, I dont' see what the big problem is. A lot of people are really freaked out by it. What's the big deal?

Gravitation

If your into Yaoi or not  Gravitation is the best anime ever made. So if you love anime then watch it you have no clue what your missing :!: You don't know real yaoi until you watch this. If you don't like yaoi then get over it or pretend one of thems a girl, just watch it!

I could check it out, but I'm watching Yami no Matsuei. Despite the yaoi, it has pretty cool action scenes in terms of summoning monsters and paper spells. :P

Heh, it's the same with fanfiction when people take innocently anti-female characters like Hiei and pair him up with Yusuke's fiance - if it isn't there, why pretend it is? And those amvs for CCS where they put Li with someone other than Sakura - why do that? And the crossover amvs where people take characters from Pokemon and have them beating up characters from other anime - if it isn't there, why pretend it is? Why do something that wasn't in the original anime? Why make something about the anime that wasn't intended by the original creators? It just seems a little strange.

Oh, that's right. It's called imagination. ^_^;; My bad.

Imagination

Imagination is all right...but sometimes it's just too weird. I guess I shouldn't be saying that, though. ::ignores stares:: That's always a matter of opinion.

I really do know what you mean. ^_^; I've seen some amvs (and fanfics) that do things I'm sure would make the creator's roll over in their graves. But some people like that, for some it's natural to take an anime and play with it until you can manipulate it into doing things never intended. That doesn't mean I'll ever quite understand why I person would take a sweet show like CCS and have Sakura rap about the child abuse she suffered. But taking two males who have strong feelings for each other (usually male bonding) and putting them in a setting where they could be a couple? That one's easy for me. ^_~

*sigh* I remember back in the day when I first started reading Gravitation (well, it was last year). That's what really got me hooked on yaoi and shounen-ai. My favorite pairings always seem to be the 'rival' thing (SeiferxSquall, RikuxSora (people tend to disagree w/ me on this one, bit there are SO many things that hint towards this pairing), and YukixKyo (but Yukiru or Kyoru is okay)). I like the 1x2 pairing, and... uhmmmmm... *thinks* YamixYugi. :D I sometimes write fanfics, and I recently did a special s-ai pic for my bro's gf (who LOVES yaoi).

Heh, I like the rivals, too. But I also like the anime where the guys are very close and get along well. In many cases the guys are so close that without the girls around I don't think it would be much of a stretch to imagine a real pairing taking place. Others it would probably never happen without a great deal of persuasion in fanfic form. ^_^;;

But I like to play with anime - I just get bored easily if I'm limited to only liking what's officially in the anime. You can watch it, but that's it - no addition, no delving into what could be hidden between episoes - you can only like what's on the screen. I dislike that on principle.

So as a shonen ai fan, my way of playing with an anime (making it more than something I watch and never think about again because everything is there on the screen) is to take the characters and play with *them* - this may be making 'non-yaoi' anime characters interract in a shonen ai relationship, or it may be a parody in which I focus only on the guys and their often humorous relationships. Either way, I hold no anime sacred. If I can't play with it (do things not included in the original) there isn't much reason for me to watch it aside from the innitial interest in seeing what it shows onscreen.

fave anime

Post by ryuu_hime13 » Tue Nov 11, 2003 11:43 am

My fave anime is Weiss Kreuz, and about 95% of all fanfiction on it is yaoi or shonen ai. I don't mind too much, really.
