SPONGE BOB KICKS ALL ANIME IN THEIR LITTLE JAPANESE TIGHT.... hot... super sexy.. hentai.... ecchi.... ANIME ROCKS HARD!
In all fairness, there was one american cartoon I loved, and still watch, it was called Invasion America, I think. It was produced by Steven Spilberg (I don' tink i spEel that goood), and it actualy had...
1: Good plot and story
2: Blood
3: A little swearing
The series finished at a clif hanger which just about sent me into spasms. I still haven't forgiven Steven for it, cept he can still redeam himself I suppose.
Other then that, I watch Sponge Bob, and watched Angry beavers. And every once and a while I watched that Dragon Ball Z cartoon, that was american wasen't it?

Anime over American. Why? Americans usually put no plot into their cartoons. Sure, they have one episode plots, but none of them really are interesting and make you want to watch more. I don't really care about their animation either. Take spongebob squarepants. They didn't even try to make it 3D looking.

I can sum this whole argument up right here, right now
*picks up an apple* This will be anime
*picks up an orange* This will be American cartoons
*begins to violently slam the apple and the orange into each other until all that's left in his hands are piles of pulp*
In conclusion...
Apples and oranges people...there's just no way to effectively compare anime and US animation...they're too diversified to mkae an adequate comparison (and BTW Black Monarch...I'm sorry, but I see no proof whatsoever to say those are the best Japan has to offer...besides, that is part of the problem...the comparison will naturally vary based on what sources you select, and by what standard you judge them on)
But anyways...the US is capable of good, as well as bad cartoons...and so is Japan...there is no way to effectively judge who is the superior one, accept it and move on...

Well it looks like it's time to emotispam, with any luck noone will ever be able to post in this thread again,
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab
