The original Japanese discs were one per disc.ryuu_hime13 wrote:Two eps per DVD?!?!?! You've gotta be kidding! That's robbery!
Which is not to say that this wasn't unnecessary.

Directors commentaries, as if i care about wat they have to say. I dont mind listening to their ideas, but give us more episodes per dvd and we will be happy... Giving us anime fans only like 3 episodes per dvd is proposterious ... ARG... ... i dont like those people who are so greedy that they would take advantage of those younger anime fans and make them pay such a high price, that is just low.J-0080 wrote:ryuu_hime13 wrote:Two eps per DVD?!?!?! Well...they also have those director commentaries.

I don't suffer under the constraints that you all do. There's a phenomenal amount of 'otaku uh-oh' here in Clearfield, so I never run out of anime to watch. My Sensei in DVD encoding thinks my work is more than acceptable, and as long as I've got my DVD drive and a handful of CR-R's, I'll be fine. I haven't said anything incriminating. But the connections can be made.

Don't quote me on this, but I've heard that there have been studies done that people only watch the extra features on DVDs a whopping once. Director's comments are interesting, but... well... if we can't tell what you're trying to say/do by the work itself, then the director really ought to rethink what he or she is doing. FLCL again is a good example--half the fun of the series is just sitting there, trying to figure out what it's about. Having an explanation handed to you on a silver platter (or a DVD) ruins that aspect.Jonathan02us wrote:Directors commentaries, as if i care about wat they have to say. This is starting to remind me of when I didn't have a DVD player and I had to buy Evangelion on VHS, two episodes per tape. Ahh, those were the days.
Ugh, okay, I read your sig, now read the second line in mine if you want me to take your argument seriously.dogger wrote:re you kidding Blood: The Last Vampire sucked no it uber sucked! (no pun intended)
