Heh. My parents understand the complexity, and yet they still ask stupid questions every once in a while. And that's about anime, and about anything else you can shake a stick at.

I'm beginning to think that asking stupid questions is a parental obligation of some sort. See if anyone can argue with that
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

My parents make fun of me when ever I watch anime. My dad mimics the charaters lines and that really pisses me off. . But thats life parents are ment to really make us mad and that same way with the kids  .

Well, I think it's mean for your parents to make fun of you when you're watch anime. My Dad jokes around, but he likes the shows and that's why he's joking around.

My mom can't stand anime, and my dad will watch it if he has nothing better to do, or watch. My dad is okay, but I can't say that he really likes it, only that he will watch it if he is in the mood for anime. Sometimes I wish they would like anime so that way they can understand me a little more. Of course, my parents aren't that cool. They're still living in the fifties and sixties. (My parents are in their fifties, pretty old isn't it?)

I wouldn't be surprised if at least half of the people in this forum will become forty years parents who still watch animes and enjoy them.
I swore my future children will be all into anime from the first moment they'll say "mama".
No Teletubbies or barney. They're EVIL :P

Yeah. The first season of Barney was fun, but then it got sickening. (And that new Barney video that's coming out, I think I may be ill.)

But I won't force anime on my kids (when/if I have any). I'll just make it available as they get old enough for the various series and take it from there.

Everyone's entitled to their own interests and ambitions, right?

^_^;> Ah-heh. Yeah, about that.

And I have some very young cousins who got it on VHS. Honestly, I think Barney was okay (if painful after the zillionth time hearing him laugh :x ) up until they introduced that little yellow dinosaur.

Anyway, back on topic. Parents and anime is more about adults and anime, I think. It's the generation gap, like rock and roll was for them. I think that'll start changing the same way, too.

Like how us kids have to tell Dad to turn down his stereo sometimes.

Yeah, and for the longest time the subwoofers were on the floor over my little sister's room so her room would pulse at night when Dad was listening to music.

The funniest thing is that the music he plays the loudest is classical music like the 1812 Overture. He explains that it was meant to be played *loud.* I've had to tell him that it's meant to be played loud in orcestra halls, not homes.

My family is silly.
