Ok, glad we cleared that up. If anything this just shows that you have a fairly closed mind. All theopinions I've seen up here are from those who have tried both and found that they prefer one over the other. Your opinions are based on you only trying one option and dismiss the others. Whose opinion would carry greater weight: those who try both, or you?

Ramones, you've made your point, but I still don't care. Now, unless you have something new to say, please be quiet.

Fullmetal Alchemist kicks Narutos ass in Dubbing IMO. And I've seen both English and Japanese on both Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist.

4Kids I agree with; there are select few characters in 4Kids versions that have good performances; but the vast majority are pretty poor.

FUNimation on the other hand, I kinda disagree with. I mean, IMO, Yu Yu Hakusho and Fullmetal Alchemist both have some really terrific English tracks.

Actually, outside of some of the DBZ stuff, Funi's shown some pretty steady improvement.

Blue Gender and YYH weren't too shabby at all, and, as has been stated, the FMA dub is surprisingly good.

Plus, while I confess I've yet to see it first-hand (I plan to pick up the movies, but first there's other series I need to complete) I've heard they've pulled off some of the better Lupin III dubs out there (only one I've heard score higher (and having heard this, I'd be inclined to agree) would be Animaze's Castle of Cagliostro dub.)

FUNimation doesn't produce bad dubs, per se, but they tend to come out with annoying voices. At any rate, FUNimation was the only other name that came to my head when I was writing.

I'll agree that FUNi is gettig better. I saw Lupin III: something Mamo in English and I was pleased. It wasn't bad at all.

DBZ dubs I put in the "annoying" category (Krillin...). FMA was a valiant effort, but there's room for improvement.

Actually, Lupin the III: The Secret of Mamo was done by Pioneer.
But yea, the Lupin series (from what Generon/Pioneer has done) has a really good dub.

Back on topic, I caught an episode of S-cry-d and it had a horrible dub

The Tenchi Muyo OVA's have very good dubs(asside from some sinc errors in the first 2) my only problem is with Ryoko's new voice. It's not the same Ryoko any more, they made her a hyperactive teeneebober instead of the seductriss. The new voice just doesn't seem to fit the old character.

Another example is Excel Saga. When they changed the voice actriss for Excel I actualy looked forward to the parts where she didn't talk. Just made it seem like they had changed characters in the middle of a serries.

Well guys...I officially made a mistake last night.

Inspired by this discussion, I dug out that freebie disc of episode 1 of Mazinkaiser I got from my brother (he got it with Newtype) and, unlike previous viewings, I decided to watch the dub.

...I've said it before, I'll say it again. With the possible exception of The Big O, you just can't dub super robot.
