What is it with the hating on DBZ

you could get flamed for absolutley everything you just said. I'm not going to do, just keep in mind pretty much everything you said we either know or has been said.

What I am going to disagree with you about though is Gohan, DBZ IS NOT about Gohan. DBZ is about Sayains. If you'd recall, you learn what a sayain is at the begining of DBZ, and through out the series of DBZ, sayains go super sayain, and then go supr sayain again and again and so on. DBZ is about learning about sayains and their history, and their evolution, and all that crap. DBZ IS NOT, REPEAT IS NOT about Gohan.

i just wanted to get back to the subject, but that was interesting what you said about dbz being about saiyan's evolution. So far i haven't come across anyone that knew jack-diddly about DBZ, so thnx for giving me some hope that there really are people in this world to defend dbz. i've been wanting to rant about something for a while, plus i've been on a high-horse for a while since basically no one i've ever talked (or chatted to) knew shit about dbz. Once again I thank you for knocking me down off that horse(and making me twist my ankle...u'll pay dearly

but i still firmly believe that gohan is the main CHARACTER focus in the series, but i understand what you said about the saiyan's evolution, even though saiyans are explained earlier in the series, they go beyond recorded history and reach those higher levels that saiyans are destined to reach.

yeah but a sayain is never described in DB, you just think that goku is some wierd monkey boy. That's why it's DBZs focus.

The main character is debatable and up to eprsonal opinion, I myself feel it's more Vegeta. He is a direct link to the syain blood line such as Goku, but he was also part of it. Not only did he grow up in the enviroment and learn about sayains first hand, but he's also of Royal decent. Vegeta is able to do everything everyone else can do in the series, but most importantly he understands it. You really LEARN what sayains are about through vegeta.

Not saying you're wrong about Gohan, to each his own, but atleast you undertsand the sayain bit.

The only time dbz revolved around gohan was the cell saga.
DB/Z/GT has always been about goku. Followed by gohan and panin GT.
BTW gohan was cool and very strong but he isn't stronger than goku (esp after buu dies he never trains again goku does and supasses him) Just for the record goku is nmy fav character but i just needed to throw in 2 cents.

As for DBZ being about saiyans that kinda stops during the cell saga as soon as fusion comes in and goku goes ssj 3 and is not about their stages o ssj evolution until the bebi sagain GT.

The main character fluctuates throughout all of DB/Z/GT. But I overall would have to agree with the "Dumbass" dbz fans and say that the MAIN character is Goku. Even in the Cell saga, Goku's death is HUGE, and the end of the fight revolves around Goku (watch the narration and the "Goodbye Goku" stuff again), NOT Gohan. The only time Gohan is truely the main character is the attrocious Grt Saiyaman Saga. Other than that, it depends where you look, but Goku is always there.

Goku doesn't go SSJ3 until the buu saga, which is the LAST saga. So no matter how early in the saga it happens, or how long the saga is, it doesn't change the fact for every saga there was a new sayain twist. SSJ3 and Buu both = last.

i like dbz too. I can understand that the quality isn't as good as other animes and the plot can be a little predictable, but it is funny and has good characters with original personalities. It's not a bad anime. the plots of other animes are a little more action and less drama than dbz. that's my view.
