I Still Love Dragonball Z!

You know, it's odd. When I watch an amv for GW that just shows the mecha fights, I don't think of it as Deathscythe versus Heavyarms or Wing Zero versus Altron - it's Duo vs Trowa, Heero vs Wufei - I watch the suits fight, but what I'm thinking is of the pilots who are inside the suits. To me, that means I have an attachment to the characters and it gets shown through the suits - almost as if the suits themselves start to reflect the characteristics of the pilots (the exceptions being Sandrock at times, and Wing Zero - since they do have their own personality once or twice in the series). I may just put more attachment to the pilots and their suits than most people do, but I've never seen it as just another 'mecha' anime - it's one of the few where the suits are embodiments of the pilots for me.

I can't see Deathscythe without thinking of Duo, Sandrock without thinking of Quatre - the suits just reflect the pilots for me.

Really? I don't know, maybe I just haven't watched enough of the show to feel that way. I didn't mean to offend anyone..I know the suits are supposed to be a part of the pilots in some way... but I still feel the Gundams are to much of a focus, I don't see them as the characters themselves like you do so far.. all I get from it is, "my Gundam this..and "war that.." My favorite character out of the whole show is Duo because he has the most personality.. I find the rest of the cast to be rather dull...

I DID love the Gundam movie though.. it was great. Remember, this is all just my opinion, I haven't really seen the show all that much..I probably should just keep my mouth shut..

I'm not just another stupid dbz fan who doesn't know good anime.... it's just that i'm not into the Gundam series, it didn't hit me right..

People dis DBZ because it a successfulanime while their series' are still in Japan. No it isn't the greatest action anime ever made. It never was, but it was always great. DBZ would be better accepted if people could look forward to more than reruns every day. And if they brought over some better anime. Why the hell, out of all the anime, are Hamtaro and SD Gundam which is SUPER DEFORMED, CARTOON NETWORK! Darn people and their Superior Defense bullcrap. I would have preferred X Gundam, or Turn A Gundam, or a repeat of Gundam Wing, my fave anime.

Well, after watching Dragonball, immediately putting in the first part of DBZ (am going to watch an epiosde each day, going in the order of events), i could say that no matter what, Dragon Ball, DBZ, and DBGT are the greatest!!!!! All those who don't like it, are probably thinking of one of these things:

DBZ is for kids, and i'm too old to watch it
It sucks cause it dosen't have enough blood or violence
It just sucks cause i said so.

In my opinion, it is very good... it has sad parts (Goku leaving back to the other world in GT, Last episode of Dragonball [this is kinda a spoiler]

When Goku defeated Piccolo, and Chi chi was holding onto him, and he grabbed her arm, and they flew off to have Gohan... lol

), funny parts (like with the fusion parts), and lots of action. It combines a lot of emotions in it, and I think is one of the best anime's ever. It is no onder it has been dubbed and changed so many times. I mean, look at how many sites there are on DBZ, compared to sites on Anime like Silen Mobius (although most dbz sites are horrible are not updated anymore)

Basically the series is my favorite, although I can't decide whether i like Dragonball, DBZ, or GT as my favorite.......

Some people say it's for kids when it isn't.. but I don't think anyone has ever used "not enough violence" against it..lol... Most people just complain about the fights and Freeza's five minute speech.. lol....At least that's what it seems like to me.. As I say though, fighting isn't the most important thing in the show....the characters, story and emotion are.. That's what I believe.

I dont care about any age restrictions, im 14 and people older then me watch it.

Actually while it dosent have "gore" in its truest form, there is quite a bit of blood loss and i would call constant fighting violence. Most people who dislike it wouldnt for such a silly reason.

This can be true about anything or anyone, its not a reason its just the argument that many people take up without facts. However, myself and others have already made perfectly good points as to why we dislike DBZ and therefor this one is also silly.


I would say less then half the people who dislike it actually have one of those reasons, most of the actual reasons have already been previously posting and i dont feal like typing it all up again.
