X: The Movie...bit of a disapointment

It is sad how bad Digimon Season 02 was. It was like the story writers from the first season took a vaction and allowed the interns to write the story. The story, characters, music were all so much better in the first season. What really pissed me off was how the first season characters had practically no role in the second AT ALL!! WTF MATE? Ugh, and it doesn't help when it gets translated by Americans, even furter butchered in the dubbing. I wanted more Sora! Also, anyone who thinks Digimon copied Pokemon is an idiot that should be drug out to the street and shot! Digimon was their own idea, and it kicks Pokemon's ass. Seriously, every episode of Pokemon is the same, while Digimon actually has some story and likeable characters. Enough ranting, my say is that Digimon is good, and Pokemon is bad. (Oh yeah, this is my first post on the new forum, w00t!)

The most boring anime I've ever watched was Record of Lodoss War. I actually fell asleep on it. And it wasn't like I was I sleepy or anything. It was just plain boring.

PS. It was only the second TV series/movie I've ever fell asleep on.

Oh yeah, and all that Digimon and copycats alike are pretty bad...but I kinda like Yu-Gi-Oh.

Digimon was a really great series up until the end of season 2 when they did the 20-year epilogue [and Yama ended up with that b****, Sora]. A lot of people stopped watching because it branched into a domain they didn't like, which was Tamers.
One thing a lot of people don't know is that one of the writers for Digimon Tamers is also the writer for Serial Experiments Lain... When I look back on it I can see the eerie Lain-quality Tamers had. It was fairly dark compared to seasons 1 & 2. Lots of people don't like Digimon.. but it's just the dub that majorly sucked. The Japanese version was really funny! If they had dubbed Digimon the right way, I bet they would've done a really good job with it... considering Joshua Seth was the voice of Taichi... *drool*
Coming from a hardcore Digimon fan, I loved Digimon and I still do, even though it's sort of lame at times. o_o;

Overall, I don't think I've ever seen an anime I didn't like. El Hazard and Magical Project S were two that I couldn't really sit through and watch episodes in a row without taking a break, like I could if I was going to watch Sailor Moon or Escaflowne. The beginning of El Hazard was sort of boring, but as it progressed I ended up liking it [though I haven't finished it yet] and Magical Project S was just one big spoof on all Magical Girl anime. n_n; It didn't have much of a plot, even though it was pretty funny.

Now, now Mr. Steinberg, I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.. you see, this is a perfect example of why people should listen to their intuition when doing something. I was like "Hm, maybe I should specify that I think Sora's a b**** when she's with Matt, but when she isn't going after him, I could care less..." But did I pay attention to that? NO!
I'm sorry if I offended you. I really have no problem with Sora as long as she isn't infecting Yama and breaking Tai's heart. Same with any other girl.

Getting back to the topic of bad anime, I think that the worst anime EVER is Cardcaptors--no, not CCS--I'm talking WB's CARDCAPTORS!
Okay, it could just be me, but taking several of the original episodes, splicing them into one and changing the storyline seems like destroying an original piece of work. It was HORRID!
The North American version's first episode was the Japanese version's episode 8, where Syaoran showed up. They did that because they wanted CCS to be catered to both girls AND boys... so they ****ed it up into Cardcaptors. The voice-actors were awful, the dub names were awful. The only good thing I can say about Cardcaptors is that it took place in Japan, but even THAT has a negative aspect considering there's no such town as READINGTON, Japan!! >_<!!!
On top of that, the dubbers decided to "spiff up" the already horrible series by throwing in terms kids use these days, but when the voice actors said it it just sounded wrong. If anyone has seen the dubbed version of Sailormoon, they'll understand what I mean when I say the words, "That's tight, Rini!"
Not only did the dubbers take away the good storyline, they also screwed up the character images. Sakura Avalon isn't as cheerful and caring as Sakura Kinomoto. And Li Shoran isn't as cold, then warm as Li Syaoran.

I realize that I've rambled enough for one night... And if someone doesn't like what I've said about the dubbed version of CCS, feel free to write an angry letter... but if you do, please give me some good reasons why the North American version of CCS didn't suck... and when I say good, I mean they better be GOOD...[/b]

Watch Cardcaptor Sakura the Movie 2, the Sealed Card. Pioneer and the new cast of Bang Zoom! Entertainment did a MUCH better job with the dubbing.
