Apparently, Gundam SEED is going to be aired on Toonami's weekend block on CN. There was a very brief mention of it in this month's Newtype. Anyone have any more details?

Oh i was thinking about the fanfic that ppl write about Gundam Wing these days. DISGUSTING pieces of work! The series needs to be given some credit for it's effect on the ppl that paid attention to the theme of it. I dont mean to offend those kinds of writers, i respect their decisions to write those kinds of fic but it makes me angry of what they put in their works. They make the GW characters look pathetic. But of course there r those like myself that takes pride in writing real fics that tells a more realistic story about GW. I perfer to write a more realistic fic that dont have out of character pilots or such. I dont write about my character being the best though he is suppose to be better in my fic, but i dont gloat about it. My character in my fic stands for the theme of the story in Gundam Wing, and it is war and the search for peace. I write about the real impact and prespective of others in the gundam world. The idea behind gundam is not just to be big mechas that blows things up, it is to be a symbol of human will.

I feel different than those that watch GW, who hates each character for them being "Unrealistic:" but they r more realistic than u think. If times r different and situations are different, there would sure be ppl like the Gundam pilots fighting some war. There r kids like that today in other countries. While we the pampered and educated or some what stay in out civilized homes and cities, out there, there r young men fighting battles for what they believe is right. In war, age holds no bounds. Death comes to all in war. And no matter how young you are, each and everyone of us is affected by it.

I am not a SPAMMER.....I;m just someone that likes to speak my mind.

believe it or not, each charater IS realistic. Just because the majority of the people are not like that, you do have some. Heero is the dedicated soldier who in his own mind has convinced himself that his only purpose of existance is to defeat the enemy. Trowa is just the silent, traumatized type, quattre is the kind peace lover, duo is the cocky but clever one, and wuefi.... well hes just disturbed and confused on who he is. perhaps a bit too religious

for the topic of wing fan fics, I believe that you should only write them if you can act the charaters approiately and not alter them much at all. The only wing fics that I've liked best are the ones where the original charaters are scarcely seen at all, but the suits are similar to the wing timeline

finally so I dont bore anyne with the details, seed is no more than a redone version of gundam 0079. Seriously, you have the masked char figure, the gundam like suit with universal upgrades, and a pilot with people he cares about in the crossfire.

I said that i do think the characters of GW are realistic to an extent, but many ppl that have seen it wont believe that such ppl can exsist.,

On the other hand, sometimes overexagerating the Wing Boys' characteristics is fun. There's nothing wrong with a good humorfic where Heero's first response to any situation is to blow himself up and where Duo's goal in life seems to be luring Wu Fei into a murderous rage.

Well sure, I said that to an extent they r realistic enough, but well you would have to have an extreme life to become one of those guys with those kinds of personality, expcet maybe Quatre.

I just hope the next generation of gundams are a bit better. GW is cool , but it is getting old, literally.

Gundam characters can't be expected to be very realistic. I mean, come on! They fly around fighting in giant disco-dancing space robots! Don't get so uptight over how realistic or unrealistic the characters are. Come on everybody! let's just be happy that we can watch shows about magical super happy fun time robots to begin with! YAY, fun to be had by all!
