Hi.

I haven't read all the previous posts... haven't seen what other topics have been talked about, but I wanted to reply about this Kaji thing. I apologize if I'm saying things that have already been said.

OK...

I read the thoughts many had on Misato killing Kaji... but I never bought it.

First off, I could never see Misato killing Kaji except under extreme circumstances... and by this point in the series, Misato had more reason to trust Kaji then anyone else.

Second, Misato is a very smart person. A lot of people seem to think that the only way she could have known Kaji was dead so quickly is if she did it herself... but come on. The woman has a brain. She warned Kaji that he was playing a dangerous game that would probably get him killed. She knew the moment she was released that Kaji had already been "taken care of."

Third - Kaji was trying to get information to Misato. He said how he had tried many different ways to get her the information but that most likely they would all be blocked (except for the one method he used during the sex scene). However... if Misato had to kill Kaji to make sure that people didn't suspect her along with Kaji, he still could have easily handed her the information when they met at the spot where the murder was to take place.

Finally... when Shinji entered Misato's mind, he was able to see all her secrets... including things she never wanted anyone to know. Don't you think something as significant as her killing the man she loved would have shown up?

Good point UncleMilo, i dont think that Misato killed Kaji either. I kno that there are also some points that could have led a person to believe that she did but there are also many other point that would prove that she didnt or couldnt have.

As for the fact that Misato was a smart person, i have to agree. I mean, y would Ikari put her as a commander if she wasnt. I think thats y i like her the most out of all the female adult characters in this series. She has the brains to prove u wrong and she also has the heart to comfort.
