21yo Noa Izumi (female) from Patlabor looks like a 15yo boy...
32yo Akiko Minase from Kanon looks like a 14yo girl dressed like my Grandmother... So many examples, going either way...

Definitely true. ^_^ Hiei (YYH) is supposed to be a few hundred years old, but when he's startled he looks like a 12 year old boy.

And I still think the main guy in 'Onegai Teacher' looks like he's 14 at the very oldest - definitely not legal. But his age is supposed to be 18. That's anime for you. ^_^

Japan seems to have some sort of genetic flaw in it's Gene pook when it comes to Homosexuals of the animated kind.

The butch's sprout up to seven feet tall, while the bitches stop growing at age 12, like a psudo-child version of Dick Clark.

Heh, that is *so* wrong. ^_^;; I guess Clamp would be one of the few exceptions - they tend to have tall (18yrs or so) guys in their shonen ai pairings. I *do* like the odd looking matches, though...Youko Kurama is supposed to measure in at 7 feet....and it suits him without being 'butch.' ^_^

Eh...I said anime, not fanfiction.

I can read things that I wouldn't feel confortable seeing onscreen. ^_^;; And writing lets you gloss around certain things - if it's animated you're at the mercy of the artists drawing the scenes.

Eh, that's a tough one. I *do* like effeminate characters (Hisoka, human Kurama), but some I really don't care for. It depends more on the characters than just the looks. Although, Hiei may have a narrow (effeminate) waist and pretty eyes - but the rest of his character (especially his voice

) is as masculine as it comes. The same for Kurama (especially Youko Kurama). Looks are fine as long as the effeminate features are either combined with a very attractive character or strong masculinity in other areas. ^_^
