Cosplay: Would you do it?

It's a troll, guys. Ignore it. It exists only to piss you off, and if it succeeds it wins. You're better than that, come on.

THAT SAID. I can't deny that for many people, attention-whoring is most of the point of cosplay. They like to be looked at and have their picture taken. People who are idiots think that it means more than that... but it doesn't. Unfortunately, for some social retards, anime conventions are the only time they leave the basement and mix with other humans. It's a bad stereotype and they embarrass us all.

So be kind to cosplayers, and that means hands off and be polite. They are not the character. They're people just like you, just with more money and/or sewing skill.

Well.. we know they're people.. it's the concept that get's the friction in our pants! O_O Some couples like to play dress up.. sometimes it's exciting.. some guys like that whole Princess Leie thing done.. it's fun to play pretend... if chucky, tomy, fill and lill could do we.. We all can!!

That girl on the last page definitely seems to fit into that category of whoring for attention. If she had some decency or were more aware of what she were doing, she probably wouldn't have let that picture get put up on the internet to enhance the probability of me touching myself inappropriately.

Except you forget one extremely crucial thing: that girl at the convention is not your girlfriend. She doesn't even know you. You don't get to fuck her. No matter what she's wearing.

I'm sorry, I'm a little pissy about this. A former friend of mine was arrested for stalking a girl at a convention, and he damn well deserved it. Spent the rest of the con weekend in jail. Word to the wise, otaku: this could be you. RESPECT THE COSPLAYERS, FOOLS.

As the maker of this thread, I encourage showing pics of good or interesting cosplay, especially if they're pics of yourself. Just be careful about pics like the one on page 6; I'd like to keep from breaking any forum rules according to what kind of pictures can be shown.
