I think the problem is when at that angle, the face can look a little weird to begin with, especially when you don't have a reference to work off of.

the legs aren't too bad actually, the calves and ankle could use a bit more work.

i tend to draw a little out of proportion so i usually like my legs a tad longer.

i find it hard to draw legs and arms cause of da perspective and the way they can bend...isn't it like 3 head lengths for da legs?

i'm not really sure on the measurements of legs, since I seem to not include them much in any pictures of mine, including this new sketch.

nice sketch. are you doing that with a drawing pad or just pen and paper?

and depending on the person, the legs can be different lengths. i think 3 heads sounds a bit short. personally, i prefer legs to be around 4 heads, or maybe at shortest 3.5. still, i dont think there is a universal measurement for the legs by head since some characters have bigger heads or smaller heads. just draw your character and try to get a sense of what's too long and whats too short without universal measurements.

Pencil and paper. the color is from me running it through photoshop, adjusting the levels and colorizing the sketch (and adding a few layers)
