Here are my thoughts on the English dub. Kira Vincent-Davis' role as Nyu/Lucy really rocked; she did a very good job shifting her role as a cute, mindless one to an awesome "death goddess" (she aroused me more in her Lucy role ).
Adam Conlon role as Kohta was one of the few roles I felt very questionable especially when I heard the announcement that he got that role. I felt his voice was kind of dead when he did Noboru in Voices of the Distant Star, and this role of Kohta was no different. His voice improved a little bit as the episodes progressed.
It seems like Nancy Novotny really tried to sound like the Japanese voice for Yuka. In some aspects, she does a decent job.
Cynthia Martinez role for Mayu was very good to a point I couldn't recognize her voice; that's right, she got the cuteness down.
Though the one point I did recognize her voice when she tried to scream whenJason Douglas as Bandou deserves no further commentary; he really rocked in that role.she thought her dog got slaughtered.
Sasha Paysinger as Nana was really cute especially when she started to fight Lucy; she consistantly kept the cuteness when she went badass on her.
Jay Hickman as Kurama seem to went for the monotone approach which pretty much fits. Of course that'll change once later episodes gets progressed.
Elfen Lied for the win!

My favorite show recently has been Honey & Clover. I don't know what it is about this kind of show that always has me hooked through the sack. These kinds of "slice of life" shows almost always have more than one major plot thread going on at the same time, and I almost always end up really caring about one and not so much about the others. For this show it's definitely Mayama's plot that has me. I must know what happens at the end of it all.

Bwahaha! I've obtained the Story of Little Monica!
The plot of it is actually pretty decent. It's basically about a guy named Will who came back to his hometown Little Monica. Then he found out that the once properous town now became a sex-crazed town full of corruption; it was caused by some evil man who practically rules the town. So with the help of his old childhood girl friends, they try to find a way to stop him and bring back Little Monica to its normal state.
The animation was quite cheap and the music flat out sucks though the sex scenes were pretty intimate; it was all done by the male lead so this series doesn't have the evil ones doing it (though there were a couple of scenes of the loli-looking girls getting cummed). Good hentai series for the beginners!

Jason Douglas is by far one of the best dub actors I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Why, you may ask? Simple, he did Kyosuke in Shin KOR, and I agreed with his interpretation, albeit surprisingly. If ever I can be accused of fanboy gushing, this was it. Telling him he, as it was put, rocked in a role as a character I am protective of was an honor.

A Wind Named Amnesia-Pretty decent short film about a man and a woman in the U.S. after a catastrophe that wipes away everyone's memories. The guy hopes to pick up anyone who is willing to regain their humanity and the girl is along to guide him. Even for 80 minutes, there was a lot of good depth to it, could have worked for a T.V. series.
Ultra Maniac Ep. 1- Got the preview disc when Viz sent me a trial subscription to Shojo Beat as a replacement to Animerica, which I haven't really read in a while anyway. I was kind of skeptical on whether or not I would like it. The plot sounded good, but I was turned off when I found out it was created by the same woman who did Marmalade Boy, I hated that anime. So I gave it a shot, and I loved it. The series looks really well directed, super deforms are hilarious and the concept is pretty good. Rather than being the average "girl runs after the man of her dreams" shojo, it revolves around the friendship of two girls, one a normal student, the other a witch and training. Basically the story follows how the witch completely screws everything up for her friend when she's just trying to help. I might like this series so much, I might actually get the manga some day.
DBZ Uncut- Checking it out on Toonami. All of the images have been restored in this version, baby Goku gets naked! It's interesting to see the MAJOR differences between this and the original Funimation dub.
