Evangelion Prequel and other eva stuff

Just heard the other day from my freinds at traveling man, that gainax is planing to do a prequel to evangelion. Perhaps this prequel will answer some of the question that were left in eva? Such as, how did they make rei?? Was it inserting the longinous lance into the first angel (adam) that caused the second impact? and other such questions.

Also read in newtype that gainax is also rereleasing evangelion, with digitaly remastered scenes and stuff. Why couldn't they do this before the british release? Am i gonna have to wait another 6 years for the DVD release?

Hehehe... that great and all, there's a lot of hype over it, but it's better than DBZ... and besides.... did he ask your opinion?

I think that's pretty cool. There were a lot of things left unanswered, or at the very least, slightly vague. I would like to see Evangelion explained in better detail, if it can live up to the first.

She is a clone of Yui Ikari (Shinji's Mother).

The Spear of Longinus was inserted into LILITH (not Adam). Kaoru says specifically "Lilith" when he reaches the central dogma, since he was tricked.

As for 2nd Impact, this occurred when Man tried to harness the power of the first angel (debateably the second since I've heard Lilith is first) Adam by condensing him into the embryo form (seen in Episode 7 when Kaji delivers Adam to Gendo). The release of all that energy is what caused 2nd impact.

Geez I know too much about Eva. I'm fairly sure these are correct and not some speculative thing like half of the other things on the internet about Eva (like what it's about, what happens, next etc.).

From my understanding that's all correct. The thing with Evangelion is that.... well, most anime for that fact.... it calls upon several different theologies and religions. But if it had to be pegged, I've heard the central or major religion is the Kabbalah. I don't know too much about it, but from what I've read, there are several references to the Kabbalah, maybe not out right, but more subliminal. Then there was a major part that had to do with the legend of Lilith. And this I only have a vague generalization of. If anyone could tell me where I can learn more about the legend of Lilith, please let me know.

kabbalah isn't a religion, it is a book the hacedic jews read (I hope I spelled that right.)
