Romance Anime Recommendations
So I just recently finished Bokura ga Ita and after watching, I feel I've missed out on some really good romance anime. So I'd like to ask for some recommendations on what romance anime I need to watch!
I'll link my MAL to reference what I've already watched/what I'm watching.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Romance Anime Recommendations
So I was comparing your list with mine and here's what I think you should see:
(I marked the ones where the main plot is romance *)
- Air and Clannad (the movies - YES they are different) *
- ef tale of memories (prepare the tissue box) *
- Victorian Romance Emma (I dunno if it will be your kind of anime, though I LOVE it and you have some train scenes ;p) *
- Hanasaku Iroha (you never watched this one? whoa go go go! AND TRAIN SCENES!)
- Higashi no Eden
- Junjou Romantica (AHAH just joking lol) ** (ahah)
- Kimi Kiss Pure Rouge *
- La Corda D'Oro (I really love this one, I've always wanted to edit with this one but never found the dvd's/raws but it's so awesome!)
- Macross Frontier (it says you never saw it and somehow I think MAL is trolling me now)
- Nodame Cantabile (OMG YOU WILL LOVE THIS ONE! A MUST WATCH!) *
- Ouran Host Club (we already talked about this one so ;__; it's your call)
- Romeo x Juliet (.... seriously? ^^') *
- Princess Tutu (follow Phil's example and go watch it!) *
- Rurouni Kenshin (we talked about this one too.... first series then OVAs!)
- Skip Beat! (FAVORITE!) *
- School Days (omg for the jokes, watch this LOL) *
- Shugo Chara (this one is really long but well for Amu and Ikuto is totally worth it)
- Winter Sonata (it's korean but so worth it... another one I can't find the DVDs or raws ) *

Re: Romance Anime Recommendations
If you just finished the Bokura ga Ita anime, I recommend reading the manga too. It's heartbreaking, and compared to the anime, it's drama^2, but it's worth it for the happy end.

Yep, I've already read the chapter where the anime ended. But I feel I should read it from the beginning since they changed so much about the last episode compared to the manga.Kimberly wrote:If you just finished the Bokura ga Ita anime, I recommend reading the manga too. Re: Romance Anime Recommendations
I agree with siny on Nodame Cantabile. It may not be so romantic sometimes but it's one of my favourite shows and it just YOU MUST WATCH IT NOW
I remember when I started watching anime and I watched only and only romance shows I was totally in love with Vampire Knight. But, seriously, I don't know if I would like it if I watched it now.

Romance Anime Recommendations
"5 Centimeters Per Second"
As well as "The Place Promised In Our Early Days". Makoto Shinkai always cuts out your heart with a butter knife...butters it up...then throws it in a blender.
"Toradora" is also cute. It's not stuffed with complicated love triangles, but there are triangles. The heroine is iconic.
If you want a tear-jerker, although not being a dedicated "Romance" anime, I would recommend "Katanagatari". That couple cracks me up, too.
