Post by Master Shake » Mon Mar 24, 2003 11:38 pm

I was just curious as to what cowboy bebop fans view as the best episode & since i dont think there were any bad episodes lets just say lest-best episode. My picks are
Best - Stray Dog Strut
Lest Best - Boogie-Woogir Feng-Shui

Either:
1) The Real Folk Blues Part I
2) The Real Folk Blues Part II
3) Ballad of the Fallen Angels

See a relation in these? :-P

I don't know where I would classify them, but I personally really like Mushroom Samba (weird and funny), Pierrot le Fou (creeeeeepy...), Toys in the Attic (lol), and Real Folk Blues 1 and 2 (::sniff::).

Real Folk Blues I and II, Cowboy Funk, Mushroom Samba, and Ballad of the Fallen angels.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

Well i havent actually seen the whole series, only up to ep9, so I'll have to go with Ballad of Fallen Angels.

Though when watching it, it seems a little to episodic then i expected. I mean so far there isnt a lot binding the episodes togehter, compared to other animes.

Dont get me wrong, its still enjoyable, but their isnt any major theme or factor keeping the eps togehter. Something like a deep conspiracy, or mystery within the seires. I dont know, its just my opinion, which could easily change in time.

Hard Luck Women and Speak Like A Child always move me. Both episodes turned Faye, who I didn't much care for originally, into a sympathetic character.

That's what makes the show so good. It has an episodic feel (stories in one episode), but there are a few things that bind the show together. I sort of agree with you since I like big stories all connected (episode-wise), but it's too hard to hate Bebop since it does the episodic thing so well :).

This is my all time favorite anime. I absolutely love Cowboy Bbebop. I've thought about this many times and if i had to pick a top 5 it would be.
Ballad of Fallen Angels
Pierrot Le Fou
Stray Dog Strut
Gateway Shuffle
Brain Scratch
But the problem is they are all good, i mean asteroid Blues, Honky Tonk Women, Sympathy for the Devil, Bohemian Rhapsody those are four more incredible episodes. Basically i would rather watch my least favorite Cowboy Bebop episode then my favorite episode of almost anything else. It's such a great show.
See you space cowboy...
Miroku is a king among amine characters
Aliens, are you a peaceful race.
While hell yes, we are barbequing aren't we not.
