Is ANIME dying?

Hey everyone, so I was recently watching some videos on YT and stumbled across this,

Basically he talks about the fact that Several anime and manga creators being concerned for the future of their medium in Japan.
What do you guys think?

Anime will not die. It was simply on the peak of hype several years ago, but no hype is needed for this art. The answer to this question exists — I often meet guys and gals with odd appearance on the streets. They look like anime heroes, so anime is alive.

People started buying Anime, and manga LONG before the "Puritans" started in on them. And If Japan just keeps doing things their way. We will STILL buy it.. They forget.. We bought it as it was even When people complained about it... Do NOT let the 2% ruin it for the 98%.

Anime isn't dying but the guy in the video isn't wrong to be concerned. However I think what's missing from all this is the understanding that the West, and the US in particular, is going through a lot of turmoil right now as we reach a certain historical peak. This results in a lot of turbulence in how we consume media, especially anime which touches on a lot of topics that are taboo in the West.

Anime isn't dying but it may become a more centrally internet thing until Current Year Turmoil is resolved.

The industry is hitting record highs in profits so the industry is not dying far from it we are in huge wave of popularity in profit never seen before. It was dying around the late 2000's and early 2010s when the recession and collapse of international markets hit the industry hard but since then it has been booming.

This video is pure clickbait for viewers who are 100% inclined to agree with it regardless of its effectiveness at building a case for itself. I wasn't going to comment on it when you first posted it but since the thread was bumped and will likely be again before it's automatically locked, might as well call it out for what it obviously is.

Every conclusion the creator makes here is pure speculation. Western fans complaining on Twitter (as if this doesn't happen in Japan over the most trivial matters imaginable): "I don't think it's gonna stop." Funimation investing in anime production: "I expect eventually there are gonna be some changes," and "the amount of money coming in from other nations for revenue in Japan is probably going to eclipse how much money they actually make in Japan," he says without citing any data at all.

"JAPAN WON'T TAKE IT!" At no point is any outcry like this ever invoked, it's total projection on the part of the creator because it inspires a certain kind of defensive anger that keeps people coming back to the channel (where they will hopefully buy a "WOKE WOMEN RUIN EVERYTHING" coffee mug from him) and reminds them that only they are the true fans, that anime belongs to them, and that they have enemies who want to take it all away from them.

The irony here is that anime4theworld is doing the exact same thing with this video that the creator does with the articles that he loosely cites, just making a very selective reading of it, projecting his own feelings onto it to arrive at a conclusion and then deciding that anime might be "dying."
