They skipped episodes? I don't think they've skipped any. They should be on Episode 29 today. They started on a Monday with Episode 1, so they get 5 episodes done a week.

Episode 29 has a pretty sweet cliff-hanger too...

Word of advice...don't watch the severly edited (butchered) and dubbed version on CN. For anything you have true interest in...don't watch it edited. I know people will say it doesn't matter, but these edits really effect the story and enjoyment (yeah they're that bad).

In fact, I'm curious to see what they do with the next two episodes since they begin the Kyoto Arc/Saitoh fight. I'm gonna laugh when they edit the entire thing down to like 5 seconds. If you catch it, tell me how bad it was...assuming you know what it should be like.

Decent dub? If you say so...I feel quite the opposite...

Either way, good thing you've seen it NOT butchered.

I don't know...both are pretty bad IMO, but I'm glad that you don't prefer it dubbed. +5 points in my book :-P. That's more than Atomic has in my book :-P

I honestly can't see anyone doing a good Kenshin dub. It's just one of those series that really HAS to be seen in Japanese to get the right feeling across. Anyways, I too liked the Trigun dub, but meh.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Well they can't all be as good as CB was.

I agree. There are accents (Osaka-ben) and stylizations (like Kenshin's mannerisms...gozaru != that it is or repeating the statemennt as the dub does) and so on. These are inherent in the Japanese culture and well...the times that Kenshin takes place. It's somewhat historical and can't be conveyed in a dub.
