Absolutely unreal; to have that kind of technology
and base the story around a mother and daughter
who are affraid to talk with each other without the
helping hand of a love struck computerized toy maker!

The first Episode did almost nothing for me.
What caught my eye was the 2nd episode, Susan's first fight.
"Use your mind, to convey your thoughts and the doll WILL respond" !??

The settings are of a one on one 10 meter floating table that glows.
To activate your DOLL on the table, you wear a Bio-feedback Headset with Wing!
To help you concentrate on your fight, you sit in an Egg-shell 1/2 seat.
"Know that the Doll TRUST's you in your thoughts and wishes and it will respond"

Man, the WWF has nothing on this Ring!! - hehehe

As for the rest of the story,
everything you see, you really WANT to believe that it IS possible.
If a place like that, the "Angelic Layer," was actually real, I'd be there `in a heart-beat!

That is the impression it made on me.

I personally liked it allot, especially the ending actually

overall with the discussion of realism, and what not, i tend not to do that, I expect Anime to be far fetched and unrealistic. That`s what i really like about it, no matter how realistic an anime attempts to portray something it`ll probably be biased in some form anyway.

I liked the show a lot.....there were many interesting dynamics between all the characters in the show which kept me interested between the fighting scenes which were verry good in my opinion....An angelic layer video won best action at otakon this past weekend....was to a system on a down song....i think it was chop sewey(i know i spelt that wrong) it should be listed here under otakon 2002 participation. I have some really good dance vids done to it as well......Angelic Layer has a good sound track as well i think.

This should have been in General Anime btw.

Angelic Layer was an excellent show.
I liked the mix of action and character development. And what a huge cast! It seems like they were introducing characters with more than a one ep. part for nearly half the show.

Not the "best EVAR" but definitely entertaining to the end.
Probably a DVD buy once it comes out.

I usually don't care for cute shoujo anime like Card Captors Sakura, but I really like Angelic Layer for some reason. There's just something about well dressed barbie dolls kicking each other's butt.

As far as realism goes, the most unrealistic part of Angelic Layer is that nearly all the people playing it are girls. If Angelic Layer was real, I know I and all my friends, mainly guys, would be playing it.

I really really liked your music video "Path of the Deus" Loved the coordination of the battle scene between the main char,that guy in blue, and the music. The coordination between action (punches/kicks/ flying) and the music was appropriate and in time with the music! Bravo!
(do'h haven't seen the actual series yet, though I will.)

I voted for it! I put it in the voting box right after seeing Jin-Roh which ended at 4:30! See! I have the card right here!....wait....I have the card, and the booth closed at 4:00pm. Hmm...I guess I didn't vote. Oh well. I still liked the video a lot, and it stil won best action AMV.

Again, congrats on a excellent well-made movie!
