Yeah, first, when you post in the morning, it's not konnichiwa, it's konbanwa. As for Noir, I thought it was good, but I seem to be in the minority since I know there are quite a few people on the site who hated it. It has an excellent soundtrack though.

hmm, well, first hello, as to noir, hmm, its not that i didnt like it, it just didnt grab my attention.... but $15? well that peanuts, if you enjoyed the first ep, you migh well like the first few, buy it, if you start to find you dont like it, you dont have to buy the others.. never allow yourself to be swawed (sp?) by the opinions of others, youll miss out on a lot of great anime if you do....

Personally I liked it... and if I could grab it for only $15 then I would in a heartbeat. The soundtrack is pretty cool too.

I can understand why some people didn't like it since it is a rather serious anime but if you liked the first episode.. Go for it!

I liked them so far, they remind me of Luc Besson films, i.e. Leon The Professional, and the music is spectacular.

I recommend them to all

I thought the series was ok at first, but episode 7 drew me in, and I've loved everything up until the last episode of volume three and I'm anxiously awaiting volume 4.

Your milage may vary,
Tom

Oops  my brain wasn't working this morning. Good morning is ohayoo, not konbanwa, which is good evening. I know what I'm talking about, I swear.

I'll quote myself from another thread as far as Noir goes:
If you're just in it for the girls with guns, don't be deceived by false advertising - this isn't really a show about girls with guns. This is a show about the psyche of girls with guns and a strange story behind them.
So, to some people it tends to come off a bit boring. I liked it.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

$15???

Damn, Wouldn't mind your distubritor.
I paid $55 for the first dvd + Boxset and then $30 for each following DVD. So far they have only released the 2nd DVD but I watched the fan subs which is why I am religouisly drawn to Noir.

Otohiko's pretty much right, the characters ain't your typical pretty girls.

Kirikia is most the time wearing dorky cloths which is what the animators wanted. (I love her France T-shirt)

Plus, when they go out on a job they don't wear leather spandex, they actually wear bullet broof vests.

Also, this series has no blood. Although even myself I would of wanted a little bit of blood here and there but I was able to get over it. If when some guy has his throut slashed open and you need to see the blood splatter all over the place and not satified to you do. You wont like this series.

I thought it was a pretty decent series, but not something that I would spend my money on. If you're one of those people that buys a lot of dvds, I'd say go for it. If you only buy a few, I'd say be cautious, and try to see a little more before you commit to it.
