Gundam wing anyone???

Man when is CN gunna put Gundam wing back on I meen I've seen G gundam, gundam 0080,gundam0085,and all the other gundams CN has shown

put Gundam wing back on...or zz gundam......or gundam X!

Gundam wing was butchered as it was on CN, that and it was just a horrible idea anyway. They need REAL gundum stuff. And G-Gundam needs a Ouranatang(Sp for sure) Gundam. Big, orange, and furry.

Gundam Wing had to be my least favorite gundam series. It lacked the feel of war that so many of the other series had. Adding to that all the characters were shallow and over dramatized at times. The worst part of it was later on in the series where every five minutes you would hear "Relina", two seconds later "Heero". I will give props to Gundam Wing for one thing, it was the first anime on CN that was shown unedited at nights. Anyways as far as G Gundam goes, it sux in my opionion, even more so the Wing did. The idea of a body sensor suit was the right idea, but the moves that try to pull are next to impossible for a machine.

I like Gundam Wing (though I hate Relena) over the other gundam sagas, and I was pleasantly surprised to get the japanese uncut version and find that they didn't change much of the actual dialogue in the dubs - a lot of it was word-for-word, a nice surprise. And the uncut airing at night was another nice point. The poor animation styles of some of the older gundam sagas just doesn't appeal to me as much, and I think it's G Gundam - the one with 'magic' - that reminds me too much of Power Rangers to suit my tastes. But that's just me.

Just a few things

1. Wing will (if all goes well) be back on CN shortly. They'll be using it as part of a boost for the planned airing of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (IMO, one of the best of the of the Gundam series) there's no guarantee it will run in it's entirety though...apparently the plan is to run sections of each of the series they've got so far as prelude to Zeta.

2. Just for the record, there is no 0085, the other one was 0083 (sorry...had to point that out.)

3. As for ZZ and GX...those aren't gonna be around for a while... Bandai's current push is for Zeta and the movie F-91, and, as of yet, no plans for dubbing of either ZZ or Gundam X is planned (Perhaps for the better, given the stories I've heard concerning ZZ, more than content to wait that one out...GX on the other hand wouldn't mind seeing over here...but I digress...part of me has a feeling Bandai will push for something like SEED first.)

A while back someone DID do a Pope Gundam sketch...sadly the link for it is down, but if I find it again, I'll post the addy.

As for the people saying G Gundam is too much like Power Rangers...actually, pretty far from. The elements that look PR-ish in nature pay less homage to that, and more to the super robot shows of the 70s (titles such as Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, and Yuusha Raideen.)

Just some food for thought.

And, while we're all expressing our opinions on Wing...personally, I used to be a fan of it. Then I got around to seeing the original Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam 0080: War In The Pocket...afterwards, upon rewatching Wing...a lot of it just seemed...well...to put it bluntly shallow as Hell.

Well, I didn't necessarily mean to insult G Gundam, just that the suits seemed a little more...unrealistic than the gundams in Gundam Wing (though even those seemed to have personalities at times >.< ). That series reminds me of other types of animes - Zords, things with transforming robots and more of the magical nature than a 'war' - it's just doesn't seem as 'real'. I know, GW isn't any more real - and the plot isn't nearly as deep as some of the other gundam sagas, but the animation style helps a lot - since I'm a stickler for animation. ^_^

And I'll probably like Gundam Seed best after I see it - it looks beautiful, but I haven't seen it yet, so it's not on my list.

i havent really watched much of GW due to CN's butchering. ive seen some of it uncut over at a friend's house. ive seen G Gundam, Gundam 0080, 0083 some of 8th MS Team. CN mentioned that they were going to show Gundam Z and ZZ i think. i know Gundam Z but im unsure about ZZ.

i love Gundam Wing.

i cant really say that im a gundam freak but from the series i have seen (except for G Gundam) they all kicked ass ^_^

im just going to wait til SEED gets liscenced then ill get it, i heard good stuff about it anyways. but overall, GW is one of my most fav anime's
