Post by Xyle » Wed Jul 23, 2003 10:14 am

I really don't know about very many animes (I'm not as crazy about anime as most of you guys) and i was just wondering... could you guys give me some suggestions for some good, violent movies.

Depends. You want violence with plot, or mindless bleeding carcasses?

Violence with plot:

Jin-Roh, the Wolf Brigade
Princess Mononoke
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Kite
Perfect Blue
Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door

Mindless bleeding carcasses:

Spriggan
Sin
Golgo 13: The Professional
Golgo 13: Queen Bee
-- Rachel the Demon, Resident Quoter of Obscure Nostalgia
"Great. He can pick his teeth when he's done with us!" - Marina, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
Current AMV: Somewhere On This Night

Twilight of the Darkmaster is FAR FAR FAAAAR from "Very Violent". It's far FAR FAR from violent, period. Great animation though...but damn, what a waste to have such good animation on such a crappy "movie".

Don't bother with that one, it's horrible.

Man, I didn't thing Spriggan was all that bad/overly violent. Not for a second. (even Escaflowne the Movie I found more violent, for some reason...)

X/1999 is also violent and I liked it a damn lot... then again, it may just be me.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
