A long shot... but an Anime Team? Plz spare a few sec and re
These days I started wondering... who makes these Animé's? Why? How do they start? What are the challanges? And so on...
I was an online group-RPG'er about 2 years ago, and I was invited into a private group of 22 after 3 years of RPG'ing where we were supposedly the best of the best that the founder could find. ANd we had a 2 year long RPG, where I met very bright, creative, imaginatory, incredible people and characters that made up a world of it's own. But, the club eventually died as we got older and began having lives, and 2 years of literature was put into rest.
Now it makes me wonder... why not grab about 5-10 of the most creative people I can find online, and instead of making one huge post, make a story, write a book... better yet, make an anime.
Which brings me here today. People here seem to spend days and hours making AMV's... just promoting someone elses work. Why not ask them to use their talent and MAKE and Animé of their own? I mean, what makes others so much greater than us that they can make all these Animé's and become rich off of people like us? Why shouldn't we join their quest to bring a new world to the world of ours?
My team has just started, with only 4 people in it. Me and my friend Sarah can draw Animé pretty good, Sarah is also studying to be a writer and her stories are beautiful. Master Fusion, his name I have yet unknown during the 5 years I've known him, is a total web-master type of person and is VERY creative. His cousin Daran is also the same way, must run in the family. But, of course, a puny team like us cannot accomplish much no matter how much we try.
This is where you guys come in. I mean, sure it sounds way farfetched and you're all probably thinking of problems we might encounter like money and stuff... but I got a few solutions for stuff like that. I don't really want to go into detail as of now, but as I get more dedicated members to join the team and form a nice little Animé family, I'll fill everyone in.
Plus, people who usually make it face the hugest odds but have the greatest talents... so why shouldn't we be able to make it? I mean, biggest example is Microsoft... have you ever seen a picture of the team they started up with back in the days? And now they're billionares. If money doesn't mean to you, at least the idea of creating another world for others as other Animé companies have created for you should be enough determination. With the imagination people have these days, nothing is impossible.

/applause (honest applause, too)
I know this is all far too ambitious for most people to take notice, but I support anyone with a good idea and big aspirations. Better to aspire to something farfetched than aspire to nothing.
What you're basically proposing is a doujin group... so, did you ever think of starting out with a doujin manga before plunging into the deep end and doing something as vast as an anime? That would be a tad more realistic, since it's far less demanding on the creators in terms of technical costs and invested time... but, if you wanna go for the deep end right off, not stopping ya.
Hehe, wish I could be of any help, but given my present position in life, that's not feasible. Still, best of luck to you

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Whoops, forgot to mention,
We've already tought of this... and decided that we will have a huge conference in a chat that everyone can get into.. .and discuss WHAT, HOW, WHEN and all that before we start any of the creation process. Everyones ideas will be tought upon and voted by other members. We're trying to make a family, and will have no trouble kicking anyone off the team who flames everyone for everything... because u always get an odd duck like that in a team for some reason.
Then I've thought of how many people are on the Org, how many ideas will be thrown in, and how many hurt feelings could potentially ensue

Lol, no I'm not rich... and I have stated in my post that the money issue has ways of being resolved... I don't wanna get into details until I'm 100% sure that everything is in order. What we're gonna have trouble is not money... but the dedication the the team's members because, as u said, it takes tons of effort and time, but I mean, wouldn't u like to be able to say that you made an anime... even better, you made a good one? I mean, at least I and my team would...are you rich ? cause that would help really it would

Hmm I'd really like to be involved, I'm a little hesitant though
My mediocore drawing skills tend to lean toward the realism side... go here if you want a look at what I've done.
http://www.geocities.com/warpwind82/gallery.html
I'll offer my skills as far as writing goes and drawing but also in the computer colouring department.
I do have some questions though...
Do intend to animate by scanning the images in and using a program like premiere?
How do you intend to animate it? I've really only got vague ideas on how you would do this
Wouldn't it be easier to start with an online manga and then work up to an anime if engough interest was generated?
Is there somewhere I could go to obtain more info on this project?
How much time on a daily/weekly basis do you estimate people being asked to contribute?
How do you intend to distribute the finished project?
Are we talking about an entrie series or just a couple of OVA's?
I'm sure I'll have other Q's but can't think of them right now...
Still I do applaud your vision

Yet things like Hoshi no Koe are capable of being made by one person on a home computer....Dead_Pool wrote:Holy shit have you ever seen what they do to make anime or cartoons in general, lots of work, lots of resources, I looked into this a few years ago tuff tuff tuff, are you rich ? cause that would help really it would, even with the computer assisted drawnings and what not its not an easy task
