Post by omniinuyasha85 » Mon Sep 01, 2003 10:51 pm

i just got this question when writing abt badass anime characters in red. what anime character(he, she or even it) has put a change on you, for better or for worse? what the hell, throw in did it help you discover something abt yrself?

Well, Spike and Vash come to mind definitly. After watching Trigun I essentially renounced killing anything, since that whole message made a lot of sense to me, and to this day if I even accidentally kill an ant I feel bad about it, but other then the occasional downer after an insect death I'm actually a lot happier with myself then I ever was before. As for Spike, well, he taught me how to be cool....er, wait, I mean he taught me to finish what I start, and that freedom is the most beautiful thing there is. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Hey,

Even though hes technically a game character, I 'd have to say Alex Noah from Lunar. He showed that even the average guy can accomplsih his dreams (and get a hawt chick) if he persaveers.

Shinji from Evangelion (I do 'The Gendo Pose'™ too)
Spike from Cowboy Bebop
Naota from FLCL
Squall from Final Fantasy VIII

There are a lot that have influenced me. I don't remember all of them.

Spike from Bebop - showed me true style, and to finish things
Shu from NTHT - whatever life throws at your balls, there are always things/people you can count on. And to appreciate little things.

Not much more I can think of, my character was already manifested when I got into Anime years ago...

Keitaro Urashima from Love Hina. More in a sense to be comical and that maybe you can get your dream girl.

K-san from Gravitation and Shigure Souma from Fruits Basket - these guys have a personality type uncommon in anime, and from studying them I learned about writing this personality type, and even gained a little insight into my own personality.
