Shonen Jump, Good or Bad?

Post by sengoku19 » Sat Sep 20, 2003 11:00 am

I was thinking about Subscribing to Shonen Jump. I checked out their website and it looks like a good magazine, they have Naruto Manga and everything. But I was just wondering, if anyone out there has already subscribed and what they think about it. Is it worth the money? Or is it more of a kiddyish Magazine? Thanks!

I think that it is an awesome magazine.
One Piece, Naruto, Shaman King, Yu Yu Hakusho, and even the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas are great. Dragonball manga is pretty good. And the Sand Land manga sucks ass. But it's more good then bad so I say go for it.

I've read it and kinda liked it. Just see the titles they publish, if you're into any of them, go and try that.

For me, I thoroughly enjoyed Naruto and One Piece, but given the amount of free cash I got, that's not enough to tide me over. But, if the other titles sound good to you - go get it.

I'd agree with Otohiko, right now the only interesting things in Shonen Jump (to me anyways) is Naruto, One Piece and Yu Yu Hakusho, which isn't really enough to convince me to subscribe (I just buy the manga collections) but if you enjoy most of the titles I'd buy it. Occasionally they even put in colour! ^_^

If I had the cash, I'd subscribe. I'm pretty sure they're gonna be cycling series, to an extent, at least--Sand Land looks like it's about over, and I think they're going to start running Kenshin after that. But yeah, I'd buy one off the stands first and then subscribe; if you can't get into most of the series to an extent just off one reading, then it's probably not worth the cash.

I have no fondness for the name of Battousai. But I will not pass it on to a man like you.
