Post by Bebop0083 » Fri Oct 10, 2003 11:00 am

i happend to turn on my tv at night or should i say early morning and adult swim was still on!! i was like WTF when i looked at the guide on tv i thought maybe CN screwed up some thing like they usually do but to my surprise it wasnt. are they going to be doing this from now on or was this a one time thing?? cause it went up to 4:30 in the morning!! if they did all they have to do now is make it 11:00-4:30 with a bunch of different animes.

Yup, it just started this week. AS plays from 11-2 and then repeats.
Sorry I thought everyone knew that.

Only slightly bad thing is that they tool Zoids off at 5:30am central time so once again I will not get to see the end of the Van/ Raven conflict. I have seen up to where Van fought Raven in the new red Genosaur(?) but havent been able to see the finale.

Well, now I have another reason to avoid watching repeat broadcasts of The O'Reilly Factor and Your World with Neil Cavuto.

While we're on the topic of Adult Swim, I think it's great that it's introduced anime into the American late night broadcasting... but, I watched an episode of Outlaw Star they showed, expecting it to be uncut... oi vey. Don't get me wrong, it's better than Toonami, but it's still hacked enough to make the "18+" warning at the beginning of each episode unnecessary. Umm... ::scratches head:: ^__^;; Ehehe... sorry, I just really needed to get that off my chest.

Please forgive me if I am wrong, but I dont think Outlaw Star has been on Adult Swim.

I know it used to be on Toonami Midnight Run which is where I first saw it, followed by Big-O which is where I first saw that too.

And I had to d/l the hotsprings episode cause Toonami wouldnt show it. They wouldnt even ink in bathing suits for that one.

Adult Swim I think is showing alot of stuff Toonami couldnt. Blue Gender showed how much they have advanced though I understand that AS still cut alot of the sex scenes out of that too.

The repeat broadcasting is great but I still would prefer 2-3 hours of additional programming.

yes Outlaw Star appeard on adult swim. you could tell they cut some of the sex scenes in Blue Gender because in the preview they showed Marleene and Yugi going at it. then in the next eps is like wtf?? they did that to Gundam 0083 where they show Nina in the shower in the preview but then they cut it when the eps is shown. you think they would have less edits if they show it later then usual now??

I haven't been watching Adult Swim lately. I kinda lost interest after they took Cowboy Bebop off the air. The hack-job they did on some of the animes really turned me off, too. What exactly are they showing right now on AS?

Good luck in that, to my knowledge the ending eps have only been shown once on toonami at about 4:00 central under the title "The Big 4". I liked the ending, its worth watching :P
