i don't know, never seen it.

but if it's not licenced you can look for bit torents that are hosting it and see for yourself if it's worth your money. but I've heard that name being tossed around a bit so odds are it's already licenced. If it is it'll probably be listed here.

Look up a review on the internet, I'm sure it will be far more useful than what a bunch of random people on an internet forum will tell you.

I saw the first episode at a con earlier this year and I was intrigued. Lesse...if I had to compare it without spoilers....well the animation was dark even though there didn't seem to be an incredibly deep or violent feel to it. Actually, it was a lot like a couple of the Animatrix shorts style wise. It moved pretty fast in the first ep, I plan to buy the first volume to check it out a least.

By the way, cute avatar jono ^_^

Arjuna is pretty good but it gets sorta preachy later on.

I've seen almost all of Ajura (might have missed an ep here and there) and I liked it. It's a little dark and I agree with Misty it does have a very animatrix feel to it. It's very focused on environmental issues so prepare to feel guilty about eating a hamburger, driving a car etc... It has a bit of a jumpy feel, I mean it seems to be going in one direction and then it will turn around and go another way.

Basic storyline is thus... *possible spoilers*

Ajura is involved in a motorcycle accident and is taken to hospital and *dies*. While her spirit is floating above her failing body a young boy spirit comes to her and offers her a second chance at life providing she agrees to help him.
She agrees and wakes up with an "earth sense". Basically she is connected with the earth and now has a wider sense of environmental issues like pollution etc. She also see these ugly wormlike monsters called Rahjar (apologies on spelling) that seem to feed off damage to the earth. She can transform to "Earth Girl Ajura" and fire arrows at the things but the anime isn't really simply focussing on her battleing them. I mean half the time the boy shows up and tells her not to. It does focus on philosphical questions like "how do mindless animals know what is good to eat?" "Why are humans the only animals that dramatically change their environment?" "Why do we need technology?"
There also is this organisation that uses psi talents like Ajura and the boy but the goals of this organisationa are a little confusing. At first it seems they are battling the Rahjar...

Anyway I did enjoy the series and I'm thinking of buying it myself. I'm trying to think of some anime that it's similar to but I'm not having much luck... It's a little like Eva or Ghost in the Shell in the philosphical question department but the ending doesn't bite like in Eva.

I didn't like Arjuna very much. It was on the preachy side about environmental issues and CG was overused. It had its moments though.
