Depends. A lot of time the manga has more stuff in it than the series, but at the same time the action is clearer in anime. I like them both.

Ya it most definately depends on what you're referring to.

Most of the time I prefer the manga, but I have much love for the anime (unless they completely alter the story)...

Depends on the series and people's personal tastes. I like both, if you give me a specific series, then I can tell you which I prefer.

same here. all depends on the person.

Indeed, it all depends on the afore-mentioned reasons.

I'm going to attempt to stay away from saying 'depends' .

When the anime creators are lazy and fail to further develop or stylize the anime unique from the manga (and this seems to be most of the time) the manga is better. It's just the manga, except animated.

A good anime series will continue to develop the idea of the manga. When they expand with good ideas the anime is better than the manga, IMO. Also, like movie adaptations of books, good or bad acting of the characters can make or break a series.

Example I was discussing with a friend: Initial D manga to me seems not too great. However, the anime added to it technical advising from the Drift King, Keichi Tsuchiya and kick ass music to make what would have otherwise been mediocre animation into an enticing series.

Excel Saga anime completely different from the manga. The only thing they seemed to keep was the main characters from the manga and the basic idea that they were trying to take over the city in their demented way. The producer of the anime wrote himself in as Nabeshin and they turned Excel Saga into a satire of Japanese pop culture.

Gunsmith Cats anime failed to be long enough to develop characters and plot like in the manga. Riding Bean, with the exception of Bean, seemed to have nothing to do with the manga.

I tend to like the manga better, but I do like to see the anime's of course.
