Sick Anime
...it's not what you think. I've actually noticed a trend that, when people get colds in Anime, they tend to get feverish and pass out. There are almost never any kleenexes/excessive coughing. Oh, and one serving of leek soup is almost always enough to cure it. Has anyone else noticed this trend, does it bother anyone else, and are there any exceptions to this rule?

True, honestly the only anime where I can point out a difference is Sailor Moon. In the Nurse Mayhem episode several Sailors were afflicted with Esmerauds bogus infection, though the Inner Senshi had different symptoms the focus was on Usagi who was feverish and passed out from dizzyness. Though there's an episode with Rei where she's wearing this mask due to her excessive coughing ^^ It's quite entertaining.

Ever seen the scene in Juubei-chan where her father tries to revive her in an unorthodox way? You could call that scene a sick scene in both senses of the word....but I gotta say it was pretty friggin funny nonetheless

I believe there's an episode or two of Yawara where the reporter guy has a bad cold. Like the sailor moon episode, it's played for embarassment and to emphasize that he's not cool.
