hmm...
TRIGUN STORY!
Ok, i ordered trigun online. I wasn't sure when it would come.
A month or so later, i got sick. REALLY sick. like i-can't-stand-up-without-wanting-to-die and it-hurts-to-think tyoe iof sick. So i;m home sick for a week. That's when trigun comes.
I watched it 3 times
the entire series.
Since i was sick, i was kinda hallucinating. That, and all the drugs they put me on, made me kinda odd...
To make a long story short: i wrote pages and pages of notes on trigun. These notes included the names of all the guns, people, weaponry, places and anyother stuff in the series, as well as leitmotifs and recurring themes..
I told you, they drugged me.
And I bawled louder than the TV on ep 24 (i think it was 24)
I had to pause it because I couldn't hear the TV.
I bawled for like 15 minutes.
I have an excuse: i was heavily drugged.
anyway... tha'd be my crazy Trigun story.
Oh, btw, all of this was before it came out on TV. Far before.

I saw trigun just as I was becoming a huge anime fan. My favorite genre has always been comedy/romantic comedy/echi comedy in anime.
That being said, I LOVED the first two episodes, and with anime I usually don't like a show until I have seen about at least 8 episodes. It was well on its way to becoming the greatest anime ever for me. I think somewhere after the first 2 episodes, it gradually began to spiral its way into silly seriousness (which irked me). A lot of the villains were just too stupid to like, while others were great (Legato, the Sax guy, Cyclops, and of course Knives). Had the ending not been so well done, I might have ended up hating the show. What they did to Wolfwood seemed intolerable, because it came out of nowhere and left the show feeling soul-less. It was frustrating to watch. Some of the episodes focused too much on irrelevant things, and Vash was a complete mess in places. The anime was a mess in places. How did my hilarious feel good anime turn into a depressing melodrama?
Anyway, I think the show is over-rated, but I still liked it, enough to recommend it. I think I have the lowest opinion of the show of anyone on the entire earth, which says a lot about its popularity.

Thats kind of odd how you think the exact oposite of most people. I thought the story started picking up after the few first episodes hehe.kearlywi wrote:I saw trigun just as I was becoming a huge anime fan. My favorite genre has always been comedy/romantic comedy/echi comedy in anime.

Anyway, events such as
Were caused do to the lack of manga being published while the show had to keep going.spoiler wrote:Wolfwoods Death
However i just got the first volume of the Tirgun manga it was really interesting how they flew right to the points. Compared to the anime the first volume pretty much contained Episode 5 and the couple of episodes with the steamroller. I really enjoyed it starting out with the nebraska family episode because that was the first episode where you get to see the serious/silly side of vash, although he tankfully dosent do the "love and peace" thing in the manga
