Are there anime series just for kids........
....that can be avoided from being heavely edited and getting changed background music when they're shown on TV? I think these shows can be shown on network TV with minimum edits:
Saint Tail
Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar
Someday's Dreamers
Angelic Layer
Full Moon wo Sagashite (once it gets licensed )

Um, certain parts of Digi-Charat are pretty disgusting. I remember this one character (I think it's Puchiko), threw up and that vomit turned into a monster.Moonlight Soldier wrote:WEll I dont' know what it's actually about so I could be INCREADIBLY wrong....sorry if I am, but Digi Charat looks relatively harmless...

I think it will be a very long time, probably never, before a 'hot topic', a series that has a large potential for mass-appeal and mass-production, will be shown on TV without major bastardization occuring. Anime seems to be judged harder than live action American TV, and even american cartoons.

I was afraid someone might say that. It's always has to be "profitable".HeartbreakerByZep wrote:I think it will be a very long time, probably never, before a 'hot topic', a series that has a large potential for mass-appeal and mass-production, will be shown on TV without major bastardization occuring. DiGi Charat really does have all sorts of adult sub-contexts... so, even if it would make it on TV, it would be horribly edited, thus losing its' point.
So, prithee, don't suggest this show to American TV...
Angelic Layer also struck me as a possibility, but I figure it never would - it's pretty short for something that would generate the neccesary profit around here... Plus it's really not about what it seems to be about, and I don't think they'd be able to spin it very well commercially - like they do all the other 'small battling monster' shows.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
