I agree all of the Samurai X movies were great, very bloody and meaningful at the same time, just my kind of Anime

No, the movie is set during the TV series at the end of first season, but before Kyoto Saga. It uses the cast from the Kamiya Dojo and does follow the basic plot and style of the TV series.

Trust and Betrayal is an OAV prequel to the Kenshin TV series. Takes place during the Bokumatsu (Mejii revolution) 10 years before the TV series. About a '90 degree' on what the TV series was. Kenshin kills a lot of people. The OAV does not have nearly the level of humor the TV series does.

Trust and Betrayal a definite must see for Kenshin fans. I'd actually like to experimanet with introducing a fan to Kenshin by first showing them Trust and Betrayal, then the TV series. Reflections was good and very sad. It kinda came short of my expectations, so I'd rate it the lesser of the OAVs.

Not exactly. The movie takes place after Kyoto. This is apparent at the end when Kenshin uses a variant of the Succession technique (in the air). You can even hear Sano say "ogi" which means succession technique. I'm not positive how ADV translated it.

I disagree. The OVA takes place immediately after Kyoto. Now of course in the "timeline" it occurs prior (10 years), HOWEVER, in the manga it is a flashback that occurs *after* Kyoto. It makes sense since the next saga in the manga was the "Revenge Arc" and deals with Enishi and the death of his sister.

It is imperative that viewers watch the OVA *after* kyoto. The entire TV series builds up this mystery around Kenshin and the OVA finally answers it.

You can't really argue with the manga and how it's presented since it's the original.

As for Reflections, I dislike it...A LOT. It goes in the opposite direction as the manga and the ending is attrocious. It has nothing to do with the central theme of the entire series and is the complete opposite of the optimistic ending of the manga...which again is the original.
