Doragon booru vs DBZ

I've seen all the eps and movies from DB, DBZ and DBGT 8) . Gotta say the longer I watched the worse it came. DBZ was OK before that android BS. But there's about 500 eps anime (and 20 movies). Boring perhaps?

DB is the only real Toriyama!
Have you seen Dragon Ball (or read it) and what did you think of it?

I didn't like Dragonball. It was too young and cutesy for me, about the same reason I don't care much for DBGT - the young chibi Goku never kept my interest.

I do like DBZ, though, the parts I've watched of it. ^_^;;

That's interesting that you didn't like the jinzoningen / Cell arc; many fans consider that to be the pinnacle of story telling in the series. What exactly about it didn't you like? Personally, I think the way that time-travel (and multiple time-lines / realities) are woven in, the idea that "history repeats itself" (Red Ribbon Army back again!), etc. really, really made the story.

I've read / seen just about the entire thing. Original Red Ribbon Army arc put me to sleep, so I haven't seen that... and I've only seen about half of GT. Other than that, I'm good for the whole damn thing...

Dragonball is definetly good, but Dragonball Z is Toriyama's masterpiece.

I guess I liked Dragon Ball, it was funny to a certain point but thats bout it

as for DBZ and DBGT, you guys know what I think of it

DB knows it's limits. In DBZ those guys are swollen like waterballoons. DBGT is just a bad repetation from DB. Cell saga is too much. If I remember right in the beginning of DBZ it's said that the super saiya-jin will appear every 1000 year or sumting.

But then "abrakadabra" and every saiyan / ½-saiyan or 1/4-saiyan is suddenly a SSJ. It's just too much. The story falls. Actually the Whole saiyan-idea is bad. There wasn't any info from them in DB. Son Goku is a monkey from ancient Chinese adventure!

THERE'S NO LIMITATION AFTER DB!!

The whole "Super Saiyajin every 1000 years" was never actually said by Bejiita, it only occured in the dubbed version. As for 1/2 Saiyajins becoming Super Saiyajins, that's just the way the blood works, if you are a Super Saiyajin and you have a child, that child is born with the ability to become a Super Saiyajin. As for the Saiyajins themselves, that's the point, the series is started with this big shock - Son Goku is from a dying warrior race. How can Goku be a character from a Chinese book?
