saiyuki anyone?

does anyone on the face of the earth know what Saiyuki is!?!?
i went through some of the forum topics and stuff, and nobody sez anything about it

its a really nice anime i think

Hmm what do you want to discuss? The manga (YAY Tokyopop released it), or the anime?

I suppose I'll start off by saying that Kougaiji and Gojyo are my favourite characters 8)

Uh, it has to do with the legend of the Monkey King from "Journey to the West" id est, Saiyuki.

There is at least one other show called "Saiyuki", based off a Tezuka manga.

A character from Saiyuki is an i-jin in R.O.D. and utilizes the nyoibo [sp?] or whatever you call that growing rod. He can breath fire because...*snicker snicker* he mastered Buddhism.

Saiyuki, the anime, is a spin on the actual legend. The legend itself appears in MANY anime.
