What would you like to see in a anime store?

Post by OtakuForLife » Sat Apr 17, 2004 1:23 pm

My firend Cam wants to open an Anime Store ,but, wants to know what
types of shows he should carry. Also, what his store should carry in
the future... So please respond to this small questionaire.

1) What shows have you bought recently?

2) What shows do you wish you could buy ,but, are
usally Out-Of-Stock?

3)If you could recommend a new show for begining otaku,
what would it be?

4)What shows do you think will be populare in the future?

Presonal Interest:

5)What don't you like about your current video store?

I live in walkig distance of an excellent anime store. Their only problem is that they don't have as large a manga selection as I would like.

Now and There, Here and There
Samurai X (any.. preferably all of Rurouni Kenshin would be a good idea.. in box sets...at ridiculously everyday low prices)

2) What shows do you wish you could buy ,but, are

pretty much anything that hasn't been released... basically, if it's been dubbed already, i wanna see it in the store

3)If you could recommend a new show for begining otaku,
what would it be?
Cowboy Bebop... btw, Otaku is an insult... traditionally

4)What shows do you think will be populare in the future?
Naruto... it's already popular, but it will be in definate high demand when it's dubbed, also Kommo no Omocha (sp?) should be well received due to Caldwell's video (Caffeine Encomium)

Presonal Interest:

5)What don't you like about your current video store?
not enough manga... but usually the problem is that the manga hasn't been translated, more Box-sets would be nice
Plus the clerks smell funny, could you fix that? they also like to watch..
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D

I'd just like an anime store within a radius of 100 miles.

x2, is there even such a thing as a shop completely devoted to anime? If so why not near me? :'¬ [
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

Yes. I live very close to one.

Why not near you? It takes a large local fanbase to support a store like that. In the case of Ann Arbor, Animania does nicely.

Not necessarily along the lines of what i would like to be there, but If this store were known to always have new releases right when they come out that would be great .. nothing like waiting for an Anime at Frys to find out it was out a week ago at Best Buy. :S

Don't expect to have an inteligent conversation with me, the hampster that runs the wheel inside my head died a few weeks ago from lack of excersize.
