Can't say it affects me right now as Viz is taking their sweet time releasing InuYasha to the states

C'mon, the U.S. is more than 100 episodes behind....

But anyways, wasn't Ranma about the same length? About 160 episodes?

I'm not one of the psychotic fans. This news really didn't bother me all that much. For me, it doesn't matter if a series ends or not. As long as it was cool in the time that it ran, I'm okay with it ending.

I suspect the series in general. I hate to say it, but, having seen through ep 145 or 146 or so, it's about time the series ends. Takahashi's stuff is good, but from what's been discussed on here before, Takahashi's really slow at writing manga and therefore much of what is in the anime is actually filler. The filler eps have generally been really good, but the most recent mini-arc.... well, I think they've been running low on ideas. The most recent arc featured a bastardized use of the Fushigi Yuugi gods (I forget the real term for those four)--in particular, Suzaku was creepily homosexual. The series has finally gotten back to the actual specific plot of finding the Shikon shards (there have been probably around 30 eps of what essentially amounts to being filler) and I think an ending in the fall would be well-timed.

The fact that they're replacing it with another Gundam, though, kinda scares me...

its a kids anime. sure some eppisodes are fun to watch but on the whole its prety mundane. the sooner it ends the beter
