There was two instances. First, there was a Zelda animated series, and second, Link and Zelda made a cameo appearence in Captain N.

I saw a DVD of the Zelda cartoon at Gamestop yesterday, so yes, you can buy it.

It's not bad, but quite silly. Don't expect a serious show at all.

Wasn't that Zelda cartoon part of the Super Mario Bros. show? I seem to remember Monday-Thursday were Mario Brothers cartoons and on Friday they'd show the Zelda cartoon instead...
