xXx Holic
Well, all I can say is that Clamp never ceases to amaze me. I bought this manga since it was by Clamp and looked different from their previous works. The only style I would compare it to would be X, it had relatively new character designs and looked splendidly gothic.
Anyways, without knowing the premise, I bought it, and recently finished reading the first volume. First of all, I'm loving the whole cross-over thing. I never realized that it crosses with Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. But putting all the fun references and allusions to other Clamp works aside, the content is just awesome.
Considering the premise is about a boy who is haunted by spirits and is then tricked into working for a witch who says she'll grant his wish, it's fairly deep. I feel like I'm reading some sort of psychological character analysis...oO....
The individual stories seem so simple, yet Clamp takes it and melds it into this commentary on human nature...
/raves some more...
It's awesome go check it out.

::growls:: xxxHolic is on my birthday wishlist...which means I'd better be getting it on Saturday! I was dying to read it...I got to borrow Tsubasa from a friend, at least. I loved that one, and it crosses over with xxxHolic for a bit. Yuko looks sooooo cool. CLAMP OWNS!!!!
In a mad world, only the mad are sane.

True I'm waiting for RG Babylon, but Tokyo Babylon is next on my wish list...after Tsubasa ^^
/methinks when I cease to be broke I may venture to my store and bug the heck out of the owner to order it for me *along with BNSH* >.>

I finally managed to find a bookstore with both xxxHolic and Tsubasa in stock this afternoon, and added another couple inches to my stack of CLAMP manga (that already measures over four feet ).
I got lucky and saw about half of each volume in scanlations before Del Ray announced their license of them, so I got a taste of what the story in each would be before picking these volumes up.
I absolutely love them. Del Ray's note about enjoying them more if you've read CLAMP's other works is absolutely true. I've counted references to at least eight or nine other CLAMP works, and I wasn't even looking hard (And the group's only visiting the first of who knows how many worlds ).
I can't wait for the next volumes. MS, you're right; Del Ray needs to get on a more TokyoPop-like release schedule (six or eight weeks between books, rather than twelve).
