i saw this live action japanese moved called dimensional travler, it was just like watching anime. the japanese must have super brain power to come up with stuff like that. if i was as smart as the most stupid japanese person i could rule the world, or at least get the highist grades in the u.s.

The Japanese Super Brain Power that they use to create their crazy films and anime is secretly insanity! But anyways . . .

Let's see, I'm more familiar with Hong Kong action flicks, but maybe I can name a few good films.

The Princess Blade. A cool martial arts sword fighting action flick.

Anything done by Akira Kurosawa

The Twilight Samurai. I have yet to actually see it, but really want to because it looks so damn cool.

Is "Suicide Circle" Japanese?

I'm told that the Japanese version of The Ring is scarier that the American version, so if you're into scary movies... (I haven't seen it and don't want to)

I strongly agree
If the army or navy ever looks upon heavens scenes, they would see that the streets are guarded by the United States Marines.

Avalon was directed by Mamoru Oshii, who also directed Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor.

Tokyo Godfathers is one, although it's an animation. I haven't watched it myself so I can't really comment, but I heard that it was supposed to be good.

This moive felt like a Alfred Hitchcock thriller when I saw it. The trailer for the American version looked like a totally different movie from the original Japanese version, so I don't want to watch it.

Here are some ideas.
Battle Royale-It wasn't a perfect adaptation to the cult novel, but it was still good. Junior high kids are sent to an island in a government funded program. Their objective: kill each other, or die trying.

Mr. Rookie-Main character from this movie is my current avatar. Japanese salary man for a beer company moonlights as the new pitcher for the baseball team to live his lifelong dream. This is a really hard to find movie that I want to get sometime. I have yet to finish this movie.

Shall We Dance?-Yet another Japanese moive that had an American remake (soon to released, and it looks stupid). Middle aged man finds that his life is becoming a total bore. He's got a good job and a loving family, but he's still not happy. His life gets better though, when he decides to take classes at a dance school.

Hope I've helped.
Probably too busy to be here right now.
