why do people think digimon is gay

a lot of people think digimon is gay and i don't see why. since i am a fan of the show i like it but a lot of my friends who like almost every kind of anime hate digimon and i want to know why.

It could be for many reasons. The show is aimed towards younger audiences and the larger online demographic of anime fans are usually 14 or older. So digimon doesn't really appeal to them that much. That and during time when all the Pokemon clones came out, people were pretty much getting pissed,sick, and tired of all the game base shows about kids fighting with bizarre monsters.

I thought it got too cliche myself.

I remember watching the first season and liking it, but then it expanded into one of those, THE NEXT GENERATION type things and I couldn't stand it =/

The ONLY Digimon season I thought was VERY good and actually watchable is Digimon Tamers. I was surprised with the dub and the edits of this series; it was actually decent.

People hate a lot of things.... we can't stop their anger.

As for the show being gay, I heard the original is full of sex jokes, and I think they where hetero so I'm guessing no, the show isn't gay.

I hated Digimon Tamers with a vengeance. But I really liked the first series-it felt like it was going somwhere unlike Pokemon.

i watched it a few years back and strangely enough i realy enjoyed it. it was like pokemon, only it wasnt, and it was actualy good for the most part

Yea, I liked it too, for the most part, and I kind of liked the fact that with each season, they went for some new concept instead of re-using the same stuff over and over again. I don't think it was anything great, but it was certainly an alright series, at least the seasons I've seen...

Yup...I was a Digimon fan. Still kinda am, I guess. I loved Digimon Tamers (Renamon rocks!

) and the fourth Digimon season currently airing.

I have to give the show credit. If it weren't for the "kiddie" shows like Pokémon and Digimon, I would have never gotten into anime.
