What can ya show your parents?!?!

Post by Neko116 » Sat Jun 05, 2004 3:30 pm

I want my perents to stop thinking badly about anime, especially scince they have never seen one in thier entire life. I thought of showing them some sort of show that they could get really into, but the problem is, is that my dad is a pastor and he accepts very little sexual content, cursing, and violence. I need to show my parents that anime is not some heathen thing and its not just cartoons either. Does anyone have any ideas about an anime I could get them to watch that is kinda tame with a good storyline?

I second that motion...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Hmm, I can only speak from personal expericance. I showed my Dad Akria and the Escaflowne Movie, but that won't do well in your case.

Check out The Anime Cafe. Great site for guiding parents on anime.

My dad really likes Cowboy Bebop. I showed it to him and now he's in love with the series. He bought all six DVDs for Christmas for "us to share".

I would say go with anime movies like Spirited Away. Grave of the Fireflies is a better choice, methinks. :D
