people that hate the dragonball seires

Post by ajew » Tue Jun 15, 2004 11:40 pm

Some people on this messegeboard seem to dislike the dragonball series, ether because newbies make music videos to them  or there afraid to follow into the shoes of a noobie :P. Then again most people turn down the doomrider project because there just didn't like dragonball so who am I to say.

when it takes 11 episodes for one 5 minute fight and pointless dialogue? Oh that's DBZ...hmmm

I don't think I have any issues with Dragonball....I just don't like most of the vids that come from it...

i don't hate the series ... i just greatly dislike it. I think the reason would be that it should have ended after the fight with freeza. After that fight i can't understand why the world just dosn't blow up while there powering up... not to mention they always talk about how cell/freeza/buu/any one else can blow up the world like OMG freeza can blow up the earth... well vegeta could have blowen up the earth in like ep 10. IT almost seams like nobody every gets stronger. I think that the heros just get weaker. i also dislike how much they drage things out. Alos i can't understand when they just don't use there SUPER attacks at the start of the fight (in that way it reminds me of power rangers) and that about somes up why I dislike dbz.

I think i would be one of those people that ajew is refering too, i dislike DBZ, mainly because it's pointless. It's senseless action, and nothing but that. It drags on and on and the plotlines in the series is practically the same. For that same reason i dislike Naruto (but not as much as DBZ, Naruto as a bit more fun in it, but still it mostly sucks).
It might be because i am a bit more feminine than most men, and like series with more storyline and emotion, that those meaningless action series. Alright, i still enjoy series like Full Metal Alchemist, Chrno Crusade, Full Metal Panic, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, NGE and Escaflowne (amongst others), but it's just me, i don't like DBZ and Naruto like series.

Repetitive storyline.
Drawn-out battles.
Re-used dialouge.
Enough holes in the plot to resemble the victim of a gatling gun.

I remember the days when I would save up for tapes of it.
Ah, youth. :(

Naruto has a shit load of storyline and emotion. And I know certain people that don't like anime that much, that really like naruto because they think it has a shit load of meaning, emotion, and story put into it. And if you think different, then good for you. Maybe it is just some meaningless pointless action anime. Some of you need to stop trying to state what something is, instead state what you think it is and stop generalizing everything.

While I've never actually watched the series, I hate that its fans tend to be the most ignorant in anime fandom, and the ones who think that DBZ is the greatest anime in the world have never seen any other shows. See 'Right Now...' for reference.
