Questions about Adult Swim
Hi, I have a few questions about what they show on Adult Swim saturday nights. I recently bought both the yu yu hakusho tv series (112 episodes) and the outlaw star series on dvd. I would like to know if the yu yu hakusho they show on adult swim is considered the ova or the tv series? Also, how much different is the outlaw star they show on cartoon network vs the uncut? As far as i know, gene is more perverted and melphina is shown nude a few times.
Please email me back at kadrik0@hotmail.com
PS. I recently downloaded a trailer from a past japan commercial for outlaw star that said it was coming soon. In it i saw this woman and i don't remember her at all. Was she in outlaw star? Hopefully you can see the picture i post below.

The Yu Yu Hakusho airing on Adult Swim right now is the TV series. As for the OVAs, I know nothing about them.
Sorry, I've never seen Outlaw Star, so I can't help ya there.

Cartoon Network is airing the TV series.
There are no OAV's but there are two movies.
You, on the other hand, have bought a set or two of poorly made bootleg DVD's with hideous subtitling, to the point where they got character names swapped for all 112 episodes. Enjoy your knockoffs.

Hey, i did buy knock off japan all region anime but they are not that bad. Why buy a stupid pioneer version that can make you pay over 95 for the outlaw star and the yu yu hakusho is not even fully translated yet. The stupid pioneer dvds for the yu yu hakusho sale at 25-30 for only acouple of episodes. So far, i have bought cowboy bebop, fushugi yugi, outlaw star, and yu yu hakusho and have had no problems. They may come from hong kong or someone else on ebay and the only difference really is the packaging, you mainly get the episodes with less extras and different cover art. I don't mind because i have saved a ton of money.

Re: Adult Swim
Yes, because poorer quality video, mis-named characters, incomprehensible grammar and spelling are *such* great qualities to look for in anime DVDs. Sure the packing is different, but... how could one not notice all of the obvious problems with series, such as Hiei being Kurama and vice versa.kadrik wrote: Hey, i did buy knock off japan all region anime but they are not that bad. Not to mention the video quality is equivalent to color bleeding VHS.You, on the other hand, have bought a set or two of poorly made bootleg DVD's with hideous subtitling, to the point where they got character names swapped for all 112 episodes. Enjoy your knockoffs.

sorry, it's just a bit funny to see you wrinting about watching Fruits Basket, Full Metal Panic and Noir and in the same breath reply saying that a HK bootleg is illegal if the show is licensed
