Inuyasha turns into a full demon if he doesn't have his sword and is in a tight spot. As in, he's about to be killed or something. His desire to live causes his demon blood to take over.

..Or something along thought lines. :lol:

well he turns into a full demon when he is first seperated from his sword. then he must be in danger or at the edge of death. he only gets controlled by his demon blood because he has the strong desire to live and survive.
