Tenchi OAV III-any1 seen it?

yes, FINALLY i ordered a tenchi oav 3 dvd w/ episodes 1-3, but i haven't received it yet.I CANT WAIT! has anyone seen it yet? dont want any spoilers, just opinions later

You might save some money by getting them all at once instead of buying them one at a time. But, that is up to you.

Mehtinks you bought a bootleg......

OVA 3 hasn't been released in the U.S. yet, but it has been licensed (Funimation was it?). The Japanese region 2 disks have 1 episode each.
So if you bought a dvd now, that has three episodes (the OVA isn't finished yet) and it has 3 episodes on one disk, it must be a bootleg. What region is it? 0? (region free)


And yes, I have seen the first 3 episodes of the new OVA, but I intend to buy the licensed version once it comes out (and then I can free up some space on my hardrive).

'Vlad86' is right, you got a bootleg. Any time you see "foreign" DVDs with a bunch of episodes squeezed into 1 DVD it is a sure bet that's a bootleg. Which I find ironic considering it is legitiment companies which try to squeeze money from you by releasing fewer episodes on MORE DVDs to make a profit. And bootleggers aren't interested in making money by compressing everything into fewer discs?

Another indication is if it only comes with English and Chinese/Korean subtitles. THAT's a sure bet it is a bootleg.

I've enjoyed it, so far. I'm curious to see where it's going. Next episode's out in September, I think. The website's in Japanese so I know something is happening in September, I'm just not sure what.

Dammit...I wanna see the new OVA Tenchi Muyo! series so badly!

Rumor is that Tenchi finally picks a girlfriend. My the creator said "Fans might be disappointed in his choice". Ah, well...I must see it anyway.

So, is it any good, those who have seen it?

especially if he does pick between Ryoko and Ayeka, and not Noike, that would suck. I'm personally rooting for Ayeka, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if it ended up Ryoko. Just not Noike! The whole third girl thing is what really put me off Tenchi in Tokyo, and I don't want to see it happen again.

actually, they're import cds from japan, they've been released there now for quite some time. check it out at the official tenchi site product list here http://www.tenchi-web.com/2004/release/dvd.html

Ah-ha! I knew it. The creator also said there was a new character. And that's what I'm worried about too. I hated Tenchi in Tokyo for that. I hope this new character doesn't make me hate the OVA too!
