That set's a bootleg (the region free thing is a giveaway). There is no Region 2 set of Ghibli movies yet, though there is an official Region 3 set that contains 11 films:
* Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind
* Laputa - Castle in the Sky
* Kiki's Delivery Service
* My Neighbor Totoro
* Only Yesterday
* Whisper of the Heart
* Porco Rosso
* Pom Poko
* Princess Mononoke
* Spirited Away
* The Cat Returns

The set is from the Chinese Licensor IVL, and only 2000 copies of the set were made (individual disks are available separately). I can't speak to the video quality or if any English subtitles are on the disks, since I don't own any.

Well nothing to add then...sorry if this is off-topic but I wanted to know something related to bootlegs:
Are all region free botlegs? As in no region free dvd's actually exist?
And is [MOD: Bootleg link removed.] really a known bootleg site?
Since I posted a link to the site and the MOD said so in this thread:
http://animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/viewt ... ht=#571218
8) Please and thank you...

[MOD: It is STILL a bootleg site.]

Yes, it is. Their so-called import DVDs are really bootlegs. Their domestic stuff MIGHT be real, I don't know (right now I'm looking at Naruto, 3 discs for 25 episodes, region free).

Italics=dead giveaway, or nearly, that it's a bootleg (Naruto isn't out in the states).

i have bought from there before.

the site seperates the import from domestic making the obvious statement that they know that they are bootlegs... without outright saying they are

they are legit.. well... on the domestic side;; the domestic dvds are real and the imports are bootlegs... cheap as hell;; domestic i have found cheaper places

Central Park Media has been releasing some of their older licenses as region-free (region 0) DVDs. For example: ARIEL

The vast majority of Japanese DVDs are Region 2, but on rare occasion you find a region-zero official release (Honneamise no Tsubasa -- even comes w/ the English dub :) , but no English subtitles :x ).

Thank You all for the responses, was planning on buying stuff from *there* but now I'll reconsider, I guess.
This sucks, why can't the domestic part be the bootleg one?! :evil:
Only consider the dubs of a handfull of anime, meaning less than ten.
:wink: Oh well...
