The Creator of Outlaw Star (or at least one of the main guys working on it) must have been a big KMFDM fan.
In the episode "Advance Guard from Another World", in the scene when Gene is out on his date, and looks at the Icecream shops, as the camera scrolls down the LONG line and reaches the end, look closely, there is a kid with what appears to be a surfboads and while most of it is hidden, MFDM is clearly visible, and in the same shot, look at the names of one of the stores, SPIT SPERM, one of KMFDMs songs...

Re: Very rare facts
Fun fact: That definition only applies to the Gundam SEED universe. Up until that, there was no exact explanation for the naming 'Gundam' shy of the fact that, in the first series, they were originally going to call it 'Gunboy', but had to change it at the last minute (can't remember the reason off the top of my head.)Gogetasan85 wrote:One rare fact is that Gundam stands for General Unilateral Neuro-link Dispersive Autonomic Maneuver.

Fun Fact #2: In Gundam Wing they were called gundams because they were armored with gundaium, or something like that. I'm not sure how it's spelled. And I don't know why they were called gundams in G Gundam.Heero_Yuy84 wrote:Fun fact: That definition only applies to the Gundam SEED universe. Fun Fact #4
Going back to SEED again, Gundam also stands for (at least, Freedom, Providence and Justice fall under this one)
Generation
Unsubdued
Nuclear
Drive
Assault
Module
There. I'll shut up for now.

Ah yes...the Gundanium thing...sorry forgot about that (...in part because more often than not, that alloy seemed an excuse to God-mode, but I digress)Coffee 54 wrote:Fun Fact #2: In Gundam Wing they were called gundams because they were armored with gundaium, or something like that. As for why they were called Gundams in G...same reason they called them Gundams in X and Turn A...because they met the qualifications set by the UC timeline to be considered as Gundams, and thus counted as AU series.
In short: There technically is no original meaning to Gundam...the AUs have come up with theories, but there's no all-encompassing definition to the word

...Yeah...sorry...the 'More You Know' screen guys are on strike
