The Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament Game

If anyone else out there has played the yu yu hakusho game for ps2. please let me know if your feelings coincide with mine in saying that the game is not very great (i'm refraining from saying it sucks because i'm such a big fan of the anime). my friend and i went half on it and i'm glad to say that because if either one of us had spent the full $40 on it, we would feel greatly cheated. most of the coolest moves are on the game (dragon of the darkness flame; Toguro finger flip bullets) but the execution of the moves sucks and aren't that aesthetically pleasing. DBZ Budokai 1 and 2 may have not have been the greatest fighting games ever, but they were fun because they conveyed the overall feel of the series. this feels like a bad fighting game with the characters having yu yu character skins. this game is unexcusably bad considerng how long it was in development (or supposedly in development). anyway just letting my fellow yu yu hakusho fans know my opinion.

I just bought the game yesterday, and I thought it was great. Despite the fact that it had english voice actors, me and my sister had a blast playing it. But, then again, we're not "hardcore" gameplayers - we're endlessly amused by simple things.

(I thought the Inuyasha game for PS was great, too =P )

i also thought the inuyasha game was fun. it did a great job of capturing the feel of the series, which i think what a game based on an anime should do. that's just my opinion. i found it lacking a many areas.

Yah, I agree, the Inuyasha game wasn't too bad. Just had trouble finding it.

I thought that the game sucked. I was sadly disappointed in the game from the lack of moves to the crappy graphics. The yu yu hakusho was a big let down. The only good thing about this was that there was the actual anime footage was in it.
